I’m old and retired, but were I younger, I’d make the bet that as long as we have Democrats, there will be a fortune to be made in guns and ammo.

Scheels in the colony Texas has no limits on ammo today. I was just there they had shelves full of 5.56,7.62x39 & 54r, plenty of steel cases 9mm and 45acp , they even had 10 mm SXTs in boxes of 20. The Russians have flooded the market with steel cases 5.56 and 7.62 it’s 25% more expensive than last year exactly inline with the inflation of the M1 monetary supply by the fed. Our dollar is worth less by at least 20% due to the printing of money these are the new prices for commodity items. Same for lumber and concrete. Thank the fed for printing trillions of dollars they took 20% Of your savings and also devalued your paychecks by the same 20+% get used to it.
Academy sports had 200 rds of brass cases 45 acp for $109 limit 4, spam cans of 5.56&7.62 520 rds for $220 limit 4 today as well. Ammo is back it’s at the current commodities proces if one has the money all the ammo you want is available at least in Texas
Just went and checked and now all their .22LR is out of stock.
Pretty sure the Obama sanctions against Russian ammo are still in play. Serbia and Belarus, and probably others, are probably still OK.
I’d go with only 20% and be grateful. We’ll be very lucky if we have 20% left this time next year.

Digging in my tool shed I found three unopened boxes of Federal 500 rd .22 LR that I bought thirty five years ago. Hope they will still shoot.

That’s what I’ve seen ammunition is available in pretty much every caliber but the prices have not come down from their previous high level...
One way to find out; only I’d use a bolt action rifle instead of an autoloader. My shooting coach told me to only use high powered .22 rounds like CCI’s mini-mags or better yet, Stingers in semi-auto .22’s.
Seen many an advert for nine-mil, and hardly any other and no .22’s of any sort.
I go to the store. There is plenty of ammo now. It simply costs too much.
My brother does a lot of reloading , he just gave me some .45 acp full wadcutter he didn’t want , LOL

My shop is currently selling 22 LR for about 10-13 cents a round, depending on the brand.
Then you haven’t paid much attention. Most ammo is coming down in price.
