.

Israel is prepared to attack Iran, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said, as his country lobbied for a response to a fatal drone attack on an Israeli-operated oil tanker that it blamed on the Islamic Republic.

Asked in an interview broadcast on a local media website whether Israel is prepared to assault Iran, Gantz gave a one-word answer: “‘Yes."

Goods imports rose 1.8% to $239.1 billion, also a record high. Exports of goods gained 0.2% to $145.9 billion in June, an all-time high

Pressed on whether he sought military action against Iran now, Gantz replied: “We must not see Iran only as Israel’s problem and exempt the rest of the world." Pushed further on whether that confrontation should be military, he said, “Yes, yes," and added, “and Israel has to do its part."

The defense minister also replied in the affirmative when asked whether Israel’s military is ready for a multifront conflict that might include Iran.

Israel has said frequently that it is ready to take military action to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, but Gantz’s comments come at a time of raised tensions in the region over attacks at sea. Israel says it’s given allies “hard evidence" that the Islamic Republic was behind last week’s deadly drone attack off the coast of Oman, and early this week the U.K. Navy reported a suspected ship hijacking in waters near Iran.

The U.S., U.K. and Israel have all said they’d respond to the tanker attack. Tehran denies involvement in either of the incidents, which are the latest in a yars-long shadow war being waged on Middle East waterways crucial to oil exports.

Jerusalem and the gulf arabs may have to destroy iran. Almost certainly must. Before the insane Iranian dictators finish building their nukes. But Obama threatened war against any nations that dared interfere with the Iranian bomb and icbm factories. Will Biden also bomb Saudi, the emirates, and Zion?

Don't know what happened. Try this one:

Israel ‘Ready’ To Attack Iran In Response To Tanker Incidents

Two tanker attack incidents within the span of less than a week are now being blamed by the US, UK, and Israel on Iran. First there was last Thursday’s Mercer Street tanker drone attack which left two British and Romanian crew members dead, and then on Tuesday there was the hijacking on the Panama-flagged Asphalt Princess – boarded by a half dozen armed Iranian militants.

Since the Israeli-managed Mercer came under assault, Israeli leaders have been openly proposing military action to allies, saying it may be needed to stop the Iranian attacks. Israel says it has provided allies like the United States with “hard evidence” that Tehran was indeed behind the drone attack in the Arabian Sea. And now Israel’s defense chief says the country is prepared to strike in Iran in his latest comments.

Defense Minister Benny Gantz was asked directly in an interview published Thursday with YNet News whether Israel is prepared to launch a military attack on Iran, to which he replied simply with, “Yes”.

Gantz explained Israel’s military stands ready to engage in a “multi-front” conflict – likely a reference to Syria where it’s already conducting weekly airstrikes against “Iran-backed” groups allied with Assad.

He specifically charged that Islamic Jihad and Hamas rocket-fire out of Gaza had the direct backing of the Islamic Republic. There’s also Iran ally Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, where this week rare exchanges of fire have taken place along Israel’s northern border.

— Emanuel (Mannie) Fabian (@manniefabian) August 5, 2021 He addressed this new Lebanon flare-up, saying “Our actions overnight were meant to send a clear message that we will not accept such attacks.”

“I hope we are not forced into further action. Lebanon is in a state of chaos caused in a large extend by the Hezbollah terror group.”

“Iran seeks to pose a multi-front challenge to Israel, as such is building up its forces in Lebanon and Gaza, deploying militias in Syria and Iraq and maintaining its supporters in Yemen. Iran is a global and regional problem and an Israeli challenge,” Gantz told Ynet further.

“We need to continue to develop our abilities to cope with multiple fronts, for this is the future,” he added.

Gonna be awesome.

Why didn’t we take out Iran after 911? Saddam was too stupid to have anything to do with it.

We never paid Iran back for the hostage crisis. I think it has to be American business interests. At least none of the hostages died in captivity. We could take out every Iran military target in Syria.

We could take out every Iran military target in Syria.

Israel did just that some years ago, but that did not stop Iran from resupplying its Al Qods units and other parties; in fact missiles etc were coming in faster than Israel could take them out, so they concentrated on only high value targets with some success. But now that Bibi is gone, his personal arrangements with Putin are gone as well. Russian forces now man the BUK M2E batteries, replacing the inept Syrians.
