As word got out that 700+ COVID super shedders were adjusting party hats in preparation for the "44-at-60" ass-kissing-fest on Martha's Vineyard, to quiet critics, Obama announced he was "scaling back" the Obamapalooza to include just "close family and friends."
For regular folks like you and me, the words "close family and friends," usually means Grandma, the kids, and a boxed Duncan Hines birthday cake.
But not for Shelley and Barry. As seaplanes full of victims of institutional and structural racism descended on Martha's Vineyard, "scaled back," became the most disingenuous parsing of words since "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."
In fairness to Obama, considering his ingrained tendency to fabricate, maybe to him, "scaled down" meant 499 guests, instead of 500, and 199 non-English speaking servers, in place of 200.
Concerning Obama's birthday party plan to expose "friends and family," to close quarters filled with spike protein, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told press reporters, "I would note first that former President Obama has been a huge advocate of individuals getting vaccinated."

Personally, I have no objection to Obama and his several hundred closest sycophants having a party…but everybody else should be free to do likewise.
That said, I kind of wonder if this isn’t a message from Obama to Joe…”it’s over, the natives are getting restless, move on from Covid as your tactic.”
Remember, probably the only good thing that Obama did while in the WH is that he refused to let Fauci shut down the country or even impose serious restrictions in the face of the Asian terror of that time, the H1N1 virus (which actually was a lot more lethal than Covid).

Obama is back to his normal self. He will party likes its 1999! He can do what he wants. The rest of us have special rules to follow.
