Can I call this The Blessing of The Bambino?
As the time for The Fall Classic approaches, is it the right time to think of the thoughts of a truly great American winner on what it takes to win?
Babe Ruth saw perseverance as unbeatable.
To what extent are such thoughts also relevant to the 2024 elections? (2022 looks like a given as a Republican triumph to me.)
But in 2024 should the GOP stick to the incredible tenacity and political genius of Trump in communicating with and representing America's forgotten people?
Or is it likely to be the right time for the GOP to look at a younger candidate like De Santis or Cruz?
Both.
Need to pour some cream into the jar, shake it around-mix it up
and see what rises to the top.
“Just can’t beat the person who never gives up.”
LOVE this quote.
Any talk of 2022/2024 without talk of 2020 is silliness, at best.
There is a Great Awakening move afoot to repair 2020. There are NO MORE ELECTIONS (at least in the normal Webster’s definition of an ‘election’) without it.
NCSWIC.
Yep. If we don’t expose to public scrutiny and fix the fraud of 2020, not only the exact methods, but also the phony narrative that supported it, then no future election is safe
I want to see Trump back in the White House, but I don’t think the Republicans will allow him to run on their ticket again. They are too entrenched in the establishment and he’s a huge threat. They allowed him on the ticket in 2016 because they were positive he’d lose, and they wouldn’t have to spend a lot of money or waste an establishment candidate losing to Hillary.
I also don’t think he can win as a third party candidate. Look at Teddy Roosevelt’s run in 1912 - he beat the Republican but they split enough votes that Wilson won the election.
(Warning: just general discussion, not reaction to the writing which I did not read)
Trump will be too old no matter what you think of him or his chances. If he lived he would be 82 at the end of 4, just like SloJoe right now.
For strength with minimal baggage, at least so far, DeSantis.
Yes, seems it’s always Republicans who are actually “open-minded” and willing to break with the norm - thus losing elections. Wilson was a disaster. Perhaps the biggest bad influence in our history.
I thought dead people only endorsed and voted for Democrats.
Any talk Alf Trump in the White House before 2025 is what is silly.
Ain’t gonna happen, but y’all will keep blowing that trumpet for years to come
You seem pretty sure of yourself.
Will you be happy if you are wrong?
I’m not wrong. Like the outcome or not, there are no take-backs in the constitution.
Fair enough, okay.
I’m POSITIVE I’m right. I’ve been digging and digging for 8 months, and see a mosaic that fits perfectly, and is coming to a head.
Obviously, one of us is right and the other is wrong. We’ll know soon enough.
You didn’t answer my question though. I’ll be a lot happier with my scenario than yours.
I agree - stay focused on 2020 and never stop fighting to right that wrong.
That’s the only issue anyone should be talking about.
In fact, if 2023 comes around and President Trump still has not been reinstated as POTUS, I hope to god he runs and his campaign slogan is MEHA (Make Elections Honest Again).
MAGA is awesome, but that goes without saying.
MEHA!!
Absolutely. Biden as a figure head is problematic.
But that doesn’t change the reality. There is 0% chance of DJT being president again before 2025. And he would be 79 his first year in office. We don’t need 80+ year old presidents.
In this case we desperately need him.
For the record, there is a 100% chance of DJT being *reinstated*.
IMNSHO, and the opinion of MANY others.
YMMV.
NCSWIC. Nothing.
Sure. And Hillary and 150,000 other people are going to get sent to GiTMO. Trust Wray, Barr, and Sessions. Durhams report is going to bring down the Deep State.
You Q nut jobs are nothing if not eternally optimistic.
Trust the Plan.
A candidate without baggage won’t go the distance.
