In December 2019, Craig Whitlock of the Washington Post published an extraordinary compilation of documents that revealed American officials discussed the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan in private but gave often glowing reports in public. Some of the reports exposed the duplicity between what Obama said publicly but knew privately.
Obama claimed he was on track in 2014 to bring the war to a “responsible end.” In fact, Whitlock wrote, “the war was nowhere near a conclusion, ‘responsible’ or otherwise.”
Literally ALL of the maintenance work on the aircraft at Bagram was done by contractors (at least through April). We had 20 years to train them - for whatever reason(s) that didn’t happen. So we leave in the middle of the night...really smart.
What’s happening now is Obama’s plan.

He opened his mouth and words came out.

He was sincere. Why do people forget that 0bamas idea of a “responsible end” was to put things into the hands of militant Muslims??
His whole plan was:
1. Knock the USA down several pegs.
2. Do everything in his power to bring the Muslims into domination.
He MEANT what he said. WE all just took it to mean something else..
Come on. The left was so busy calling Bush a liar it doesn’t matter anymore. It’s like calling us racists. It worked.
We have an entire political party that lies about literally everything, and the other party is not much better.
One of Obama’s stated goals was to reduce US influence. He had a lot of success in that regard. Biden took it down a couple of tiers.
