Of course they will intensify. That’s the plan. If you haven’t stockpiled by now run out and do so. If our govt will turn 7 bus loads of American women away from the airport to the mercies of the Taliban and abandon our service dogs trapped in their crates on tarmac at Kabul airport why wonder if they will let us all starve to death.

“At this point, it is being reported that finding new truck drivers to hire in this country is ‘next to impossible...’”

Locally, we’re having a HUGE problem with getting school bus drivers. I’m sure we’re not alone. They’ve altered school hours to accommodate for the lack of drivers.

So, no school for the kids for the past 18 months or so, and now LESS school for them now due to lack of bus drivers.

This plan to dumb down the citizenry even more is working out better than planned!

P.S. Maybe stop PAYING people to NOT work? Think THAT might help? But, no one ever asks me...

A “ruined” Christmas because of supply chain shortage tells me people are celebrating it for the wrong reasons.

And you can’t get shakes or bottled drinks at McD’s?????

The horror.

There are people in this world starving to death and the first world snowflakes’ biggest problem is lack of shakes at McDonalds???

More and more I am becoming convinced that what this world needs to wake it up is a major catastrophe that causes people to need to focus on just plain survival.

These first world problems people are whining about just sicken me.

We were beginning to get back to “normal”...

My company does decorated apparel - screen printing, embroidery, etc.

Not only were we shut down as “non-essential” but most of our clients - schools, events, restaurants, bars, etc. - were shut down as well.

When things started opening up, we started getting busy. So busy that we needed more employees, but even when offering 50% more than we paid pre-COVID, we could not get people to work.

Now, within the past week, inventory levels of blank clothing have plummeted. Right now, you cannot buy in bulk basic white t-shirts in sizes Medium and Large. Just about every color has at least one size that is out of stock. Worse, instead of the typical two week wait for re-stocking, they are saying that they will not have more shirts until November or December.

Nike apparel is 90% out of stock.

About 2/3’s of the cap styles are out of stock.

I have been in the industry since 1987 and have never seen it this bad.

15 days to flatten the curve. Why so much disruption? Should have been no biggie.

Theyre already repackaging goods at inflationary rates... meaning package sizes have shrunk. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the hold back in inventory is manufactureres not wanting different sized packages on the shelves
