Why should I be away from the safe haven I made in the wilderness to attempt making money driving a truck from state to state when they will put up covid checkpoints at every border with camouflage National Guard carrying M-16s, with lab coat doctors carrying syringes, when there will be no more currency, when this country has no future? Why would I do that?
We’ve been stocking up on non perishable foods for a while now, more than usual.
That's a complicated explanation for a more simple explanation of why every milkshake machine in McDonald's is "out of order." They just require too much labor to clean and maintain, so they have to come up with a better cover story.
Brits are a hardy lot - they can survive on beans-on-toast and fish-and-chips for a decade! With a touch of pub sauce on one and malt vinegar on the other, a meal for a frugal prince. :)
Well let’s see now.
New Orleans will be needing a lot of roof repair material.
Dang.
This past Friday night my son and his girlfriend went to eat at a local Chilies. The place is usually quite busy, but this time there was a sign on the door saying they now close at 4:30 pm daily because they simply cannot staff the place. We were shocked when he told us this.
PING!
I’ve said for years we’d rue the day we let the rail system go to hell.
Well…here we are…
I am perplexed as to how a global shortage of computer chips has left chip manufacturers in Asia “especially hard hit”. By traditional terms of supply and demand, they should sitting on top of the world. Can anybody explain this to me?
Truck drivers paid poorly??? Non union maybe but union drivers are paid surprisingly well.
I can’t get the following:
Lunchables. Not for me, but Hey, the kids love em.
Diet Dr. Pepper.
Chicken. Can’t get any of the bigger packs of cheap frozen chicken pieces.
Turkey. There’s always a few, but lately the freezer at my local stores are empty.
Eggplant. The few I can find look like they’ve been around the world. Grey/brown shriveled calyxes.
My rx medication has a nationwide shortage. I’ve been moved to a comparable Med. But still.
Dementia Joe is in charge.
Just don’t wake him up.
“Could you imagine going into a McDonald’s and not being able to order a milkshake?”
More shocking when you can. lol Some guy even did research on YT about the milkshake machine problem at McD’s.

Imagine if the governments around the world stopped paying people to stay home. People would actually have to work and support themselves. This crap would be turned around within a month if that happened. But leftists are either just clueless morons or the planners of this are evil and it’s all going according to their plans.
The power steering on my 4 year old truck with 43000 miles went out recently. I took it in on Monday about noon, figured they would look at on Tuesday, order part over night, fix Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. I didn’t get the truck back until Friday...the following week. Due to manpower shortages, they didn’t even look at it until Thursday, ordered the part (with a three day delivery) on Friday. The service adviser told me I was lucky to get the part. He said they had vehicles needing parts that had been back ordered for weeks. Weird stuff going on these days.
Taiwan and South Korea together account for about 43% of semiconductor production capacity worldwide.

Sadly, Intel, AMD and others shipped their mfg overseas a long time ago.
