This past Friday night my son and his girlfriend went to eat at a local Chilies. The place is usually quite busy, but this time there was a sign on the door saying they now close at 4:30 pm daily because they simply cannot staff the place. We were shocked when he told us this.

Heartbreaking to hear stories like this.
This is all being done intentionally to destroy the nation and economy - all nations for that matter. I know where this ends, they always have “the” solution.

I had a buyer come in from a small local smelter, and she said the shop floor should have had 32 men on it, but there were only 12 that showed that day.
Low-end workers have discovered that they are in the driver's seat. Business managers/owners will put up with them coming in whenever they feel like it, as long as they can get a day or two per week out of them. They figure it's better than not having those workers at all.
A few hours later, the maintenance boss for a company that refurbishes engines came in, and told me the same thing happens at his company too.
This is unsustainable.

I have seen that in several restaurants in the Cleveland area. Where are the workers? Pay is going up and up, but they are not to be found.

Biden’s up food stamps by 25% and he’s paying people a monthly amount PER CHILD... Why work when you can sit home and have more babies...

Where I live Taco Bell is the only place with dine-in service. Every other fast food place has closed its lobby due to lack of workers.

The biggest issue is the federal government pays people NOT to work. As usual, whenever the government gets involved in anything it’s FUBAR.

Due to online reviews and advice from others I'm avoiding eating out unless it's a local single location business that's family run or has a great rep for maintaining high standards no matter what. The chain eateries are a total mess and have gone downhill - badly cooked food, menu items not available due to supply chain issues and substitutions made without asking the customer. People using the drive thrus or the "no contact" curbside delivery have been getting burned hard by that, along with not being ready on time. Indoor dining not any better, has long wait times, bad service by green staff that don't know their jobs many of which don't seem to care if your food is messed up, along with some scary food handling practices. Nope, don't want to run that gauntlet.
I'll add that the school districts are having cafeteria problems - they can't plan out long term menus due to supply issues, so they try to go week by week but still either cannot offer something because they run out and can't resupply or have to substitute with what they have on hand until they run out of it too. Wonder how long until we have Iron Curtain-style bread lines. Welcome to the 3rd world, ya'll.

Runnings and a local grocery store are cutting their hours back, now closing at 8 starting after Labor Day weekend.

simply cannot staff the place. The a$$holes that run these "understaffed" places simply refuse to raise wages to get employees to work. F them.
