You might have expected President Biden's speech of yesterday defending his disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal to be CNN's lead story on this morning's New Day.
But it's a mark of just how central to liberal dogma is the right to abortion that New Day instead chose to lead with the news that the Supreme Court has declined to suspend a Texas law prohibiting most abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected.
Amidst all the handwringing by hosts and panelists, this remark by substitute host Kaitlin Collins stood out. Speaking of the Texas law, Collins said:
"Obviously, who it would predominantly affect are lower-income women."

The babies aside, how is that not some kind of ignorant stereotype? Why are low income women more “affected” by it? How is this statement not an indictment of the entire system itself?
Why are “low income women” sacred cows now?
IOW, it mainly protects low income and minority children.
Tell the poor sluts to keep their legs closed.
They need to spend the money they now pay to Planned Parenthood to help those low income women. If they don’t want the responsibility of a child, put it up for adoption. It might also help to bring the nuclear family back and that would really help those low income women.

There wasn’t, and I had the same thought.
Went to pick up a prescription at Walmart today. There is an Academy Sports with a gun counter right next door. I asked, the gun salesman told me they’d had a steady stream on buyers all day.

Ah, of course. Thanks. Obviously that facet didn’t occur to me. But it should have as that was one of the arguments surrounding Roe v Wade.
