Can you imagine him trying to give a speech at Ground Zero? He would have been heckled to death. That would be fun to watch.

I do t think that’s the point. He’s the President of the United States. He should have said something. Hell, he was a member of the Senate in 2001.
Even a short and simple remark should have been expected.
Instead, nothing. And that fact is more telling that they’re afraid of what he might say or do.
