One of these times I’d like to see one of these freshly dead hoodlums who were remove from the DNA pool by a good citizen…. Stripped naked and hung upside down from a tree branch at a tree where buzzards or vultures are known to congregate. You know all birds have to eat.

I have often wondered if an object lesson like this might have a greater effect than any normal criminal prosecution...assuming there actually is some in the aftermath of a criminal act.

But do we really want to be.

At Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, there is a joint effort there between the US and Turkish forces. It’s main job is to store arms. There is a Turkish supply area next to an American one, both fenced in with an entry control point (ECP). In Turkey, it is not unusual for people to steal things as it is not a rich country for many. So people were breaking into the supply dumps of both countries. The Turks caught a couple. They skinned them alive and hung their carcasses at their dump ECP upside down and left them there for weeks.

The odor was so bad the US troops ask them to take them down and they finally did. But, there was no report of looting from the Turk supplies after that. I’m not sure you’ll find anything on this. I was there doing a weapons inspection and simulation and the odor was terrible. But it worked.
