Isolationist Tucker Carlson Shamefully Sides With Russia, Putin On Ukraine
The Constitutional Conservatives ^ | November 13, 2021 | Daniel John Sobieski

Tucker Carlson would have been a perfect adviser to the late Neville Chamberlain, the British Prime Minister who sold out Czechoslovakia in 1938 at Munich in an attempt to appease the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler and waive a meaningless piece of diplomatic paper proclaiming “peace in our time.” Instead of confronting Hitler when it was relatively easy and when his own generals did not trust him, we got World War II, the Holocaust, and unfathomable carnage.

On his Wednesday night Fox News show, Tucker Carlson treated Ukraine like Chamberlain treated Czechoslovakia, a faraway country of no strategic importance, not worthy of fighting and dying for, and certainly not worth ticking off the brutal dictator trying to take it over:

Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) may have gotten a more combative interview than he bargained for when he appeared with Tucker Carlson on Wednesday night.

Last week Turner and 14 other Republican members of Congress wrote a letter to President Joe Biden calling on him “to immediately provide support to the Ukrainians” after satellite images showed a buildup of Russian military “Tucker, thank you so much for bringing attention to this issue,” said Turner after Carlson welcomed him to the show. “This is one the mainstream media is not going to be reporting and is incredibly important for people to understand what Russia is doing and really the threat to the United States and the threat to the United States’ allies.” forces along Ukraine’s northern border.

After saying that many military families watch his show, Carlson told Turner, “I wonder if you could explain to them why it is in America’s interest that their kids risk their lives in Ukraine.”

Protect the US border from foreign invaders.

Otherwise we are just being stupid if we sent troops _anywhere_ else.

It is like patrolling a distant neighborhood while leaving your home’s back door wide open.

America’s most dangerous enemies are in D.C. The neocon globalist interventionists should realize that.

I also trust Russia more than Ukraine...

Of course that’s a pretty low bar I will admit....

Mr. Sobieski:
I would take your advice a bit more seriously if you knew the difference between “waive” and “wave”.

If you can’t get simple vocabulary correct, your words mean NOTHING.

"Trump was not worried, like Carlson is, about pushing Russia into the arms of China. Trump knew Russia was already there. Nor did Trump start a war with Russia. Nobody’s child was sent to fight in and die for Ukraine. President Trump, unlike President Obama, was well aware that it is Russian President Vladimir Putin’s expressed view that the demise of the Soviet Union was one of the greatest disasters of modern times. His actions in Ukraine in conjunction with massive Russian rearmament show his desire to reassemble the old Soviet Union.

As far as I know, Trump’s policy of America First was never described as autarky, but I think that’s where we were going, and where we should go.

Economic self-reliance. Produce our own food, produce our own energy, bring manufacturing home to America. Use tariffs as needed to support our products and discourage other products. Sure, if you want to buy mangoes from India, or import tungsten from Vietnam, you could. But we should try to emphasize our own economy and have less to do with others, where practicable.

Getting involved in the affairs of the world has only damaged our core American values. No more blood and treasure.

Another bastardization of the word: “conservative”...

Throughout history, I believe that “conservatives” have been a “mind your own business” party unless the Nation’s interests are directly threatened...

We need to join the struggle to restore OUR long-lost freedoms and liberties, NOT those of foreign countries...

So, the "constitutional conservatives" [sic] want to go to war over a region in East-Central Europe called Ukraine, where a state now exists cobbled together out of Austria, Poland, Lithuania, and Russia.

Such an action would be neither constitutional, nor conservative, so let's take a look at who these cheerleaders are.

Well - it turns out that the links to the bios of these "constitutional conservatives" are all broken.

Anyway, just to remind anyone who actually knows and actually cares about the War Power, this is how it is done:

"Therefore be it Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the state of war between the United States and the Imperial Government of Japan which has thus been thrust upon the United States is hereby formally declared; and the President is hereby authorized and directed to employ the entire naval and military forces of the United States and the resources of the Government to carry on war against the Imperial Government of Japan; and, to bring the conflict to a successful termination, all the resources of the country are hereby pledged by the Congress of the United States.

Mr. Daniel John Sobieski is living in the past and his comparison with Neville Chamberlain is beyond a poor historical comparison.

I watched Tucker’s interview. It was straight up simple. Why is protecting the Ukrainian border from foreign invaders more important than protecting our own border from the foreign invasion that is taking place. While the Congressman eventually said that was important too before pivoting back to “the need to protect democracy” from the Russians ... he was trapped... Tucker wouldn’t let him get away with it.

Congressman insisted we need to send weapons to help the Ukranians... as if what just happened in Afghani-the- banana-stand is irrelevant. Tucker did not pursue this line too hard, staying on that the Congressman should be more about protecting our own border.

The EU needs to be concerned, not us continuing to use our national treasure. They wanted a pipelin with Russia. FIne, let them deal with Russia on the Ukraine. I am seeing less importance on the geopolitics of EU with each passing second. All they export to the US is bad ideas (like climate hoax), socialism-communism, and they openly insult us. I can’t think of anything of real value that we need them for. I have to admit, obozo may have been right on pivoting to Asia away from EU except other than the direction of the pivot, his and my reasons are different. Only when the US turns away from EU will the EU come to its senses about its socialism-communism. Geo Washington was a genius ... avoid foreign entanglements.

Totally agree. I’m with Tucker on this one. We, as a nation, need to concentrate on taking back the narrative from the loony left, re-install conservative Christian values, remove every single illegal immigrant from this country, and do as you said, re-establish our strength in being self-reliant.

US borders are not worth US troops, but Ukraine’s are?

On September 12, 2001, any patriotic President would have had the border sealed by the military.
They would have stayed until we had a secure border.

President Trump was cheated out of office by both parties because they want to keep flooding the country with foreigners.

NATO wasn't to expand beyond Germany, instead it has encroached eastwards towards Russia ever since German reunification.

This is a provocation that goes beyond the limits. Leave the Ukraine alone, our own country is disintegrating.

Tucker is an isolationist, but it’s Biden who’s going to hand Ukraine to Russia.
