No it doesn’t. It prohibits the government from affecting in any way (infringing) our God-given natural right of self-defense. And the 14th amendment imposes it on the various states and their legal sub-divisions. Boiled down, it tells government, “Hands Off!”
If it ‘gave’ something to you it’s a privilege, and privileges can be rescinded.

I concur...but roll it back to Our Lord who has primacy in imposing that restriction.
All government at any level, despite whatever pretense of legal fiction or brute force is threatened or applied...is forbidden by the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God to do anything other than protect your life, your liberties and your property....though Thom said pursuit of happiness.
As you know, The Bill of Rights is a partial enumerated list of what the most recently abused (though still eternal and unchanging) rights were at the time.
The 9th says all powers, not just rights but powers not specified to the Feds are retained by The People.
The 10th is a double lock.....saying the powers, again not the rights not given the Feds, nor (the powers) reserved to the States by the Constitution.....remain with again, The People.
The very foundation of Liberty is that individual rights are unalienable. Powers may be delegated, but not rights.
But that is just my opinion and I do not feel strongly about it....though many men have and still do.
