What if the turkey was smoked? I'll be smoking this turkey you saw in a few hours but brining is ESSENTIAL. When I didn't brine it had little color but with brining it comes out with a deep brown color. Even more important the texture is juicy, not dry.

You can brine and then smoke the turkey. Brining will add flavor and seasoned moisture to the meat.
Although I am a big fan of brining, I did not brine this year.
I chose the injection method and smoking using cherry/maple/hickory.
You should not do both brining and injection, in my opinion.
