Tebow was trying to make the team as a TE, he was terrible having never blocked anyone before it’s a really impossible task to start your NFL career by blocking NFL defensive linemen
You’ve got that right. Humility isn’t one of his virtues.
Woman dancing on Urban’s leg, not guilty!

Urban the next morning.
There was a blonde dancing on my leg?
Wait, I did not know that
I live on the Pacific coast, so I rarely get a chance to see the mediocre and bad east coast teams play on basic cable.
Question to everyone...
What is your evaluation of Jacksonville QB, Trevor Lawrence?
Does he look like a bust?
Is he just playing behind a really bad offense?
Did he need to sit out his first year and just learn the NFL game?
Winning absolves all sins. Meyer will go back to the college game. There are plenty of openings and many schools will be happy to hire him.
Say what?
Jury's still out. He's a first year QB drafted by a really bad team with a bad head coach. If he survives he could develop into a playoff-caliber quarterback or he may not. Jacksonville needs a new head coach with a history success of developing quarterbacks.
They would have been 0-13.
Three national championships in 8 years—at two different schools.
He’ll be back in college football. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t get hired within the month.
The pros and college require a different set of skills. Few people have excelled in both. The fact that he failed at the pro level doesn’t mean anything as far as college is concerned.
Plus, it has gotten to the point that college coaches are making more than NFL coaches. Why shouldn’t he jump back to college?
Sarcasm.
I was actually a big Tebow fan, back in the day.
But, the reality is he did not have the QB (or Tight End) skills to consistently play at a competitive level in the NFL.
However, if I were a NFL team owner, I would have hired Tebow to be my #3 QB, just because I like the guy.
He did. He signed Tebow, who failed and was cut. How would having him on the team have prevented this?
When Urban was asked what it was like coaching in the NFL, he said it was like playing Alabama every week.
Sarcasm, dude.
The weird thing is that you are the third linguist on this thread who thinks a contract that guarantees absolutely NOTHING means that Tebow was "signed."
That is not the way the word "signed" is commonly used in the NFL.
There are more than a few people here who would say this and mean every word of it.
He’ll coach FAU or FIU for a season or two, then get a multizillion dollar contract at a big school.
Would you rather Meyer had never coached at Florida? It seems like he was even a better coach then the ex-49ers quarterback.

From what I’ve heard about him, it couldn’t have happened to a bigger jerk.
