What’s worse, the worship of doctors or the worship of money? Or are they both different versions of the same thing?
The Bible is filled with stories that instruct us not to swoon over people with high status in society, as they are no wiser or virtuous than the commoners. The Bible also tells us not to be greedy or overly materialistic. I think the two go hand-in-hand.
But at some point, when people refuse to learn from their mistakes, God allows people to pursue their own delusions. Remember when Pharaoh’s heart was hardened after several plagues.
