This is one of the most successful operations of the armed forces of Ukraine in the history of the war. This is a defeat that Putin will not be able to hide
In response to the bombing and rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities, the 19th missile brigade of the armed forces of Ukraine launched a Tochka-U ballistic missile attack on the Russian Millerovo airbase, and destroyed at least two of the latest Russian Su-30 fighters.
The Ukrainian commanders, who ordered and delivered this brilliant blow in response, cut off all compromises for themselves. Little Ukraine is doing everything to protect itself. And let the whole world talk about our weakness, we will use everything that we have to fight for freedom and everything that can be used to resist.
So successfully hit the old missiles, which are more than 30 years old, is a real feat. Glory to the APU!
This is a great example of what happens when one side (Ukrainian troops) want to win and one side (Russian troops) don’t know why they are fighting!
I believe nothing.
That’s the thing about war.
The other side gets to do things too.
Agreed.
This does sound like propaganda. Two days into the invasion and some people are calling it a failure. These things usually take weeks or months to play out. No, I’m not cheering for a Putin victory, just saying that this has probably only just begun.
Ukraine is willing but I think they’re getting all the intel and advice from some of our most experienced who have seen both sides of occupation and war over the last 20 years.
They had time to prepare. Never give the enemy time to see you doing something obvious unless you have real overwhelming capability.
Russia has not been in a serious war in a long time.
Calling it “Little Ukraine” is a dead givaway.
That’s a photo of a jet that’s been hit by a ballistic missile?
I doubt that. Looks more like a refueling accident.
The first assumption is that everything claimed in war is a lie.
I hope it’s true, but we’ll see.
Everything is opaque.
Ukraine is probably getting good US-supplied intelligence.
Totally agree, good call. Also hope it's true but we'll see.
We will see when the sun comes up and all the fog lifts, so to speak.
But I do remember that Stalin said one time that it takes more courage to retreat than to push forward. I suspect the Russians have some incentive to perform.
I don’t know much about ballistic missiles, but I would expect a crater and I don’t think I see one.
Right, and I’m positive we have assets already experinced in coaching foreign military on war operations.
“I believe nothing.”
Right.
The First Casualty of War Is Truth.
Historically it takes months to fully conquer a country, not days or hours... even for us. This propaganda is getting out of hand; Russia is still on track to control the entire country in the next week, there will be pockets of resistance, but still they have knocked out key infrastructure, A2D2, critical C2 nodes and are moving into the capital within 48 hours. That is pretty damned impressive and could not be done by any other military force in the world except us.
“Ukraine is probably getting good US-supplied intelligence.”
Yes, for instance where did that recording of the conversation from defenders of that island come from?
I’m confident we are listening to everything the Russians are saying, and passing that along to the Ukrainians.
