You have to remember WE set the expectation for a quick Russian victory.
Russia set no public expectations. Russia knew about the Javelins, that was public knowledge back in 2019. Now Putin did make a play for the airports to ferry in troops, and that was rebuffed, but it’s like Day Seven and we expect the country to have fallen? Even Baghdad took 20 days, and we had superiority from day one.
Most wars take years. I suspect this one will as well.
And the longer the Ukrainians hold out and stall the Russians, the more pissed off the Russian populace will become. God willing, Putin will experience a “Ceausescu moment.”
