Mayday: Four helicopters, seven private planes crash in United States in 14 days, at least 20 people dead

This article is prefaced with a few facts. The U.S. Helicopter Safety Team (USHST) reported 122 helicopter accidents, with 51 fatalities, in 2019. There were 92 accidents and 35 fatalities in the first year of COVID dystopia (2020) when aircraft were grounded for months. In fact there was a 107-day period in 2020 with no fatal helicopter accidents, which is unusual compared to other years. Further, small, private aircraft crash relatively-frequently, even before the COVID-19/vaccine era. But the difference since 2021 – more people are dying in said crashes.

USHST data measure fatal accidents per 100,000 flight hours every month. It’s rare for those monthly numbers to ever exceed ONE fatal crash per 100,000 hours. Anything under one is generally accepted as a good number. But three months in 2021 exceeded that baseline number, with a peak of 2.08 fatal crashes per 100,000 flight hours in December 2021.

The average American doesn’t pay attention to helicopter crashes or the statistic thereof. In the last five years, the only real spike in searches for helicopter crashes on Google trends was in January 2020 after former NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and his daughter died in a helicopter crash. Searches are now trending upwards in February 2022 as well.

A website called The Points Guy crunched statistics from various government agencies to create a “Death Index” for modes of travel. Commercial airlines are the safest and the baseline mode of travel, with an index of 1. Only two people have died in U.S. commercial airplane accidents since 2010. Helicopters have a death index of 63. Private planes are 271.7. For what it’s worth, all of them are safer than driving or riding in a car, with a 453.6 death index.

Good questions. If I had to guess, covid related maintenance (and bad judgement calls on worn out gear based on supply of replacement parts) and stressed out crew.

Many in this country are just damned stressed and out on the verge of snapping.

Meaningless without knowing the cause of each crash.

“Bad fuel or poor maintenance or both?”

You check your fuel before you fly.

Perhaps the engine vibrations along with some other unknown but common factor induces C/V events that lead to pilot blackout or dizziness that results in the crashes. (The vibrations cause or knock loose clots or cause deep vein thrombosis. )

Or, you could be correct. Bad gas or maintenance. (Did the techs have the required race or gender sensitivity training? Lets hope!)

Bad fuel or poor maintenance or both?

Rusty piloting skills, errors in judgement, foul weather, but probably not bad gas.

Reason #2 why I don’t fly private or commercial anymore.
If I can’t there driving, I don’t need to go there.

Everybody knows why.
The ignorant are confused, because they’re uninformed. They don’t know they’ve been lied to and brainwashed, because they’ve been lied to and brainwashed by the likes of the MSM, government “officials”, “dr”gassy and “dr”mommy, (these two, along with “nurse” gaylordchase who are essentially unvetted, self-proclaimed “experts”...aka internet trolls).

The agenda driven excuse it away the best they can, because they have the propaganda narrative to uphold after being so wrong for so many months and now cannot correct their own error, or humble themselves in the face of the facts, as evidenced by VAERS data(<1% reporting rate according to their own statements, means multiply all reported incidents by 100!!, then let that sink in), the harmaceutical documents being released showing over one thousand KNOWN adverse reactions and even the deaths and injuries in their very own social circles (see above description of them). Liars and the serve the father of lies.

The informed know EXACTLY what’s going on here, but we play coy sometimes, in fear of the wrath of off the agenda driven. Have no fear!

SW don’t play coy =o/

Fact

...and fakedocs...I WILL call you out when you reply to me. Bring your creds, or you’re a fraud. It’s coming.

“Winter weather”

Isn’t it rather “winter weather” all year at 14,000 feet?
Further, “Winter weather” certainly cannot account for the statistically high anomalies as shown in the sampling so early this year. It must be something else.

...that is all

Water in fuel from condensation in tanks.
Warm days, cool nights.
Pre-flight 101. Check your fuel for water.

*****

This still doesn’t come near accounting for the statistical anomalies we’ve seen recently, unless you’re suggesting...

1-for some odd reason pilots aren’t doing their pre-flight. Highly unlikely.
2-for some reason fuel is now lower quality. Not probable.
3-we’ve seen higher than normal humidity. Also not probable and not reported.

The stats are way too high.

4-it’s something else most likely. Maybe someone can inject the answer =o/

...that is all
