A couple recent episodes of the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard featured Starfleet crew members traveling back in time to present day to beat up U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, free a busload of illegal immigrants on their way to be deported, and lecture that racism just “took off a hood and put on a suit” in the early 21st Century.
Traveling back to 2024 Earth to help save the future of humanity in season two, episode four of the show, titled The Watcher, the crew specifically heads to downtown Los Angeles to achieve their mission. After Captain Cristobal Rios (Santiago Cabrera) becomes injured, the Hispanic character finds himself at a medical clinic that specializes in treating illegal immigrants and others, like him, who lack identification.
Caught up in an ICE raid on the clinic, Rios is detained and brought to a detention facility to await processing and deportation. When fellow crew mates Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) and Raffi Musiker (Michelle Hurd) show up at the medical facility looking for Rios, a nurse tells them: “Yeah, he was here. The doctor patched him up before ICE officers raided us....You know those assholes.” Seven chimes in: “Yeah, I feel like I do.” The nurse ominously adds: “But your friend, I hope you find him soon. Before ICE makes sure you never do.”

If no propaganda it will be censored or ignored or attacked.
If they had gone back in time and done that, the USA would not have developed its space program and therefore they would not have gone back to change anything.
With the destruction of the US borders, the country would have gone backwards a few thousand years and become a third world country without the ability to explore space.
Only communists would make that claim.
I hate to say this right now, but: Star Trek was always stupid. The only times I’ve watched it in my life after grade school were A) boredom or B) some guy I liked wanted to watch it.
Question your loyalty to ANY TV show or ANY movie. Do they feel loyal to you? (Do they even know who you are?)
Where were ICE going to deport illegals on President Stacy Abrahm’s planet?
Star Trek is dead to me. It’s been taken over by self-satisfied lunatics.
I tried to binge watch the actual TNG episodes a couple of years ago. I realized that no one on the show could act except Patrick. Does not stand up next to the acting of TOS. So, I have never watched one of these Picard episodes, which seem to be a pale copy of TNG.
The Original Star Trek wad tremendous.

I regret the time I spent watching it, just like any other TV show you can name. But of course, you are entitled to your opinion. Live long and prosper.
Different trek show. Abrams is president of earth 900 years in the future.
Woke killed Star Trek. Oh well. It had a nice run. The original series. The next generation. Deep space nine (I didn’t watch that one but fans said that was a good series).
