Videos surfacing on social media in the past week from Shanghai – and rapidly deleted on government-controlled sites like Weibo – show mounting desperation as a poorly planned coronavirus lockdown leaves the heart of China’s economy with rotting food and a lack of basic necessities.
Many of the videos surfacing on Weibo, China’s most popular micro-blogging platform, cannot be independently verified and disappear shortly after they appear, but translators outside of the country have saved and circulated them, painting a picture of a growing catastrophe alongside anonymous warnings from farms and food distributors that their supplies are rotting while people fear starvation because the Communist Party will not allow enough people to work to distribute the food.

I wonder how the powers that be plan to deliver food to 26 million people once they allow the doors open.
The Chinese are saying that this is CIA planted disinformation, similar to Russia in regards to Putin.
What do the Chinese know about ‘Covid’ that we don’t?

Their response in early 2000 and now this is insane
Democrat wet dream.
And this is why we own firearms and will never give them up
The picture I posted shows how they plan to do it. Those are food delivery people. I should have noted that... Obviously people will starve.
What’s Mandarin (or Shanghaianese) for “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore” ?
Always have at least 30 days worth of food in your home.
Always.

That’s the thing with Chinese food; an hour later and you’re hungry again.
Shanghai is being punished / a show of force is being made - for political reasons.
The only incomplete answer is that Shanghai is the political base of the ostensible “anti-Xi” clique of former Presidents Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao.
I have a years worth of food. Rice and beans... lots of oil, spices and salt... dried onions, etc, etc..fishing tackle... six fruit trees, four mature vines... veggie garden... Just do it!
I can see that. Meals on wheels might work but I can’t imagine it working in a place like NYC, a place one third of Shanghai’s size.
That it makes a great excuse to release phony videos like these that get everyone in the West freaked out enough to scuttle their economies?
There is plenty of food... for cannibals
“Always have at least 30 days worth of food in your home.”
****
KNown that for a long time and I’m ahead by 3 weeks all the time.
How did it pay off? Remember those idiots who panic buy in March 2020 when China virus broke? I knew something was wrong when I grocery shop at 8 PM at a time when no one’s around (normally) and the place was packed and shelves cleaned out..
We went to the store at that time out of curiosity. Did notice bags of flour and other cooking foods still there. All the microwave stuff was gone and most canned stuff that all you have to do is open and heat up.
AHHHHH Communism!
If Fauci had his way it would be happening here.

Gotta wonder if the regime’s eventual fall will be an echo of 1911. It’s doubtful Xi, in particular, would depart with Gorbachev’s grace and humanity. He would need to be dragged out and perhaps dealt with as the Ceausescus were, along with many of his minions.
That each time the body gets the disease - mild or not - the overall effect wears the person down permanently.
If this is true - and they know it - and are NOT sharing that information it's an act of war. The whole country - all of China - should be declared a 'war crime'...
