President Trump remains one of the most popular figures in the Republican Party. A vast majority want him to run again in 2024, and he has blown out other potential primary opponents in almost every poll.
The Republican establishment realizes that they cannot defeat Trump at the ballot box, so they have taken after Democrats by using underhanded tactics to defeat America First candidates.
RINOs in Tennessee passed a law that would prevent candidates who haven’t voted in the last three general elections from running, a bill that was primarily targeted at America First candidates.
Now, they have removed three Trump-supporting Congressional candidates from the primary ballot in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District.
The Executive Committee offered no public explanation for its decision and has refused requests for comment.
The Epoch Times Reports–
“The Tennessee GOP has voted to remove three candidates who were vying for a seat representing the state’s 5th Congressional District.
Republicans voted to boot Morgan Ortagus, Robby Starbuck, and Baxter Lee from the primary ballot, Tennessee Republican Chairman Scott Golden told news outlets.
Golden and the party did not respond to requests for more information.
Ortagus, a State Department spokeswoman during the Trump administration, was recently endorsed by former President Donald Trump.
Starbuck, a filmmaker who used to live in California, has promoted Trump policies such as strong border enforcement.

I was just posting about Republicans pushing HB1201. With republicans like these who needs democrats. They will succeed in turning TN purple. I just left NC, returning to TN…. And now this? It is worse than you think.
It seems a good portion of Republicans hates their own base more than Democrats do.
Biden created a federally funded “voter registration” group whose sole purpose is to register the illegals flooding across the border to vote.
Only a subset of states allows write-in voting.
Geez, what were they expecting, a pass like given to Democrats?
Murkowski won from out of the side door, why not one of these. Let the Rinos swing in the wind.
Who on the committee voted for and against the removal of the three candidates?
Crickets.
Why didn’t the pro trump candidates vote in the last three elections?
Mitt could move to TN tomorrow and and those rat bastards would let him run.
Unfriggen believable.
They need identified, they need to be held accountable.
All of it!
Again, they hate us more than Democrats do.
Good riddance.
Turns out one of the requirements to be on the ballot is to have voted there in the last three elections, and they hadn’t.
Seems unconstitutional to me.
“Three residents who say they planned to vote for Ortagus alleged the bill violates the U.S. Constitution, which requires that members of Congress be 25 or older, have been a citizen of the United States for seven years, and must live in the state they’re representing when they’re elected.”
Of course. Of course.
The TN GOP establishment committee, most whom don't even live in the district, will decide for the average Joe, the candidates they can vote for.
I think Dems are voting for candidates that Trump DOESN”T support...effectively rigging the Primary.
Tennessee GOP tightens rules for who can run as Republican - Oct 9, 2017
So this bylaw change wasn't done recently or in response to Trump candidates.
She can run as an independent, but to run as a Republican, she has to meet the requiremwents in the Republican bylaws.
Utter nonsense. These 3 are Carpetbaggers.
TN GOP has bylaws that state u MUST be a resident of TN for a certain number
of years. To prevent those like Hillary Clinton moving to a State and running
for Senator. These bylaws are just the opposite of RINO establishment.
I would not vote for Ortega. I would not vote for Oz or Vance either.
Carpetbaggers may be welcome in your State.
They are not welcome in TN.
BTW, this is the same establishment GOP committee that supports open primaries in TN, that allow Democrats to vote in Republican primaries.
