The ruling classes of the globe are continuing to warn that the power grids all across the globe will be stretched thin this coming summer. There will not be electricity worldwide to meet the soaring demand for more energy, which is threatening more than one billion people with rolling blackouts.
Power grids are already being stretched thin by fuel shortages, droughts and heatwaves, commodity disruptions, soaring prices due to the war in Ukraine, and the failed green energy transition where grid operators retired too many fossil fuel generation plants. Combine this all together, and a perfect storm of blackouts threatens much of the Northern Hemisphere, according to a report by ZeroHedge.
This power crisis, which is going to be affecting much of the world’s top economies, could be less than a month away when summer begins on June 21. Regions that concerned Bloomberg are Asia, Europe, and the US, where there’s not enough power to go around when cooling demand is set to surge as households crank up their air conditions to escape the sweltering heat.

IOW, it won’t be long before we hear about “accidents” at key power plants. You know, planes flying into substations, mysterious vandalism that knocks out power, unknown hackers, no doubt of Russian origin. They’re telling us what they’re going to do.
It is not that the technology to SOLVE the problem of delivering adequate food, water, energy and full employment to everyone now alive in the world is lacking. It is the lack of will to APPLY what we already know, and using the resources of human intellect, continue to expand that capability to feed, clothe, house and usefully employ the new generations as they are born. This is not as a condition of servitude, but as a consequence of using the principles of capitalistic growth to extend the virtues of reward for labor everywhere.
Some people just cannot stand prosperity. They don’t have enough adversity in their lives, they go out and invent some.
Meanwhile, China is building one new coal plant every week.
Why burn lignite when we can burn food?
What if... a US city gets nuked and we can’t tell who did it?
Is that part the plans to destroy our food storage in order to facilitate the famine that will kill millions......maybe?
Increased prices and reduced availability of energy and food is the stuff revolution is made of.
And I expect we’ll see more than one this year.
All of Africa, all of South America, all of South Asia and the Middle East are ripe for food and energy riots. More than one government will fall.
The world is in a very difficult state. And it doesn’t look like it’s going to get better any time soon.
The planet has about 5 billion too many people for any kind of stability to be possible.

I need to install a way to get the propane (one of the 3 fuels the genset will run on) from the big buried propane tanks into the genset. I’m pretty sure that is some fairly minor plumbing. And I’m sure the propane company will do it fairly reasonably, since they have the promise of increased propane use in an electrical outage.
The BiXiden regimes seems to have no shortage of power to screw the country.
