I think conservatives should be proud of having some of the best ground breaking conservationists in modern history among their numbers (Teddy Roosevelt, Richard Nixon, Margaret Thatcher and Arnold Schwarzenegger)
St Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne is currently doing the same by hanging an image called Gaia above the space occupied by the altar and the seats of the choir.
Is this legitimate free expression by the cathedral?
Or should this environmentalism have been stopped at the door?

Decades ago, St. Boniface Church in the Diocese of New Ulm, MN (RC) was sanctioned by the bishop, when a woman who was appointed to run the parish started going all New Age, and put the “Hug-A-Planet pillow” on a side altar.
The protest was serious, and the pillow was drop kick ed across the grounds. The bishop responded by threatening to close the parish if the members did get therapy en masse.
Just one out of those 4 were Conservatives.

Exactly. TR was infatuated with Socialism (and helped elect hardcore Socialist Wilson in 1912). Nixon may have been anti-Communist, but he also did nothing to promote Conservative policies as President, and, in fact, expanded and implemented leftist policies across the board (all the more astonishing that the left still hated him with a passion despite his expansion of Socialism).
Ah-nold in California, whom I exposed as an absolute fraud 19 years ago during his run for Governor, was also a hardcore Socialist married to a Kennedy and whom destroyed most of what was left of the CA Republican party. He remains an embittered RINO leftist today and one of the worst Governors in CA history, certainly the worst that ever claimed to be a Republican. His leftist Demonrat predecessor that he ousted in the recall was to his right.
