Malmo imam calls Jews "the offspring of monkeys and pigs" in sermon containing anti-Jewish conspiracy theories
An imam in Malmo, Sweden who during a sermon call Jews "the offspring of monkeys and pigs" has been charged with incitement to hatred by Swedish authorities.
According to Swedish news outlet STV, Imam Basem Mahmoud said during an October 2020 sermon at Malmo's al-Sahaba mosque: "Everyone hears and sees exactly what the West takes for granted, what their masters the Jews, the descendants of monkeys and pigs, the enemies of Islam and Muslims, dictate to them."
The sermon was subsuquently uploaded to Mahmoud's You Tube channel, where it was discovered by Swedish media...

There's an election this fall in Sweden and the Socialists have to look good for it with the Sweden Democrats and others challenging them on this threat to Sweden.
I don’t have a problem with anyone saying such words about myself or others, from a legal perspective.
It’s when they say such labeled people should be hurt or killed.
I want to be able to call gay lifestyles wrong and evil, and the gays who do that misguided and Satan-led.
Imam Mahmoud will certainly learn a lesson from all this. And the lesson is to carefully control all recordings in his mosque.
Oh, and I’ll bet you a Swedish krona that Mahmoud and his followers will continue to think exactly as they do. Death to the infidels, and all that.

The point you make is important in the context of America’s Constitution and it’s guarantees of freedom of speech aka The First Amendment.
In the Swedish context of ‘hate crimes laws’ and so on Christians and even Jews seem easy targets if they disagree with homosexuality, transgenderism and so on.
The Leftists in charge look like hypocrites if they choose not to prosecute this imam in that context.

I reject the notion of ‘hate crimes laws’ as violations of freedom of speech they are Soviet style laws prosecuting people for speech.
Some think the next Holocaust has to prevented with such laws that infringe on First Amendment rights.

This is straight out of the Quran. So if he can be charged with incitement for reading it, then the only reason EVERY Imam is not charged with incitement is simply because some choose not to read that part.
Well, it depends a bit on whether we’re talking about religious Jews or not. Like, if they were a bunch in the mold of Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein, monkeypox might indeed be a risk.

Hah. It’s a no go area. They will need the military to find and arrest the guy. Hundreds of muslims will die trying to stop the arrest, it will not go well for either side. And it will be an event that will be in the history books no matter what.
