As the U.S. nears the 2022 midterm election, people of each political persuasion are starting to look toward the 2024 presidential election. On the GOP side, if former President Trump announces he’s running (and he probably will), he’ll sail to the nomination. If not, the Republicans have a deep bench including Former Vice President Mike Pence, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, Sen. Ted Cruz (Tx), Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Sen. Tim Scott (S.C.), just to name a few,
On the Democratic side, things are strange. President Biden is very unpopular. Per the Real Clear Politics average of polls, Joe Biden’s approval, as of June 17, is at a meager 39.8%. His disapproval has grown to 54.7%, a difference of just short of 15 percentage points. Despite that America believes he’s doing an awful Joe Biden has stated that he will be running for reelection. Even atheist Democrats are on their knees at least once a day, praying that Biden retires and gives a Sherman-like statement about 2024 (“I will not accept if nominated and will not serve if elected).

Repubs have a deep bench?
Hardly.
For 2012 and 2016 most of their wannabes could not garner more than 10 percent and most struggled to get 1 percent.
I don’t see Biden being the Dem nominee in 2024. I don’t see Harris being the nominee, either.
I have no idea who the Dems will run. Maybe that insufferable nitwit who is the current governor of California.
I heard on cable news entertainment today, perhaps as a joke, that the Dems might run Liz Chaney as a candidate.
That would be in line with her asperations.
The Communist party will draw its candidates from the Star Wars cantina...like always.
Pence, Pompeo and Scott are non-starter Bush Leaguers.
Cruz and Haley are not natural born citizens.
Agree.

Bernie Sanders is not even in the top 100.
Here are the 2020 candidates:

I think you’re right.
If he runs and is nominated, I WILL vote for him.
I support his platform almost 100%.
However, the left will be so unhinged rabidly opposing him, I don’t see how he’s going to get anything done.
They undermined him at every turn in their visceral hatred for him, not caring in the least how it would affect this country.
I wonder if another position would be better for him to assume and let someone like DeSantis run.
However, I would certainly hate to see FL lose the only governor in the country with any manhood left. He’s such a thorn in the side of the left with his position as governor. He’s a big state’s rights guy and has the perfect platform to buck the federal takeover of this country and show the other 49 governors how it should be done.
I love watching the left lose its collective hive mind whenever he does something right. He might actually be in a more valuable position where he’s at what with how he’s governing.
This is why if Trump is elected, or any other AmeIca First candidate, they need to be a wrecking ball, destroying the federal government. Nothing less can be successful.
My only misgiving is Trump's age.
But I must admit that, back in '84, I likewise had misgivings about Reagan's age.
Of course, in retrospect: On the last day in office of his second term, RR was still younger than Biden is now!
Regards,
Michelle. She has already written her hagiographic autobiography. She hasn’t even had to vote “present” to avoid a record, Barak is going to need a new disposable glove when he discards Biden, and she fits like a glove on Barak’s hand. She also has a lock on the Dem base.
