Vanity: Abortions on Military Bases?
VANITY, OH, VANITY

Posted on 06/24/2022 6:26:36 AM PDT by TigerClaws

An 'internet rumor' is Biden will order abortions to be allowed on military bases once the ROE-reversal comes out. Would be in those states that outlaw abortion, open for all citizens of those states, and be free of charge.

Has anyone seen a 'sourced story' on this topic?

I wouldn’t doubt it. Byedone has declared AND is waging a war on America and their babies.

Wouldn’t surprise me if it is true. They’ll probably do them where they do the gender-affirming surgery.

I hadn’t heard this, but I’ve read that this was the case in decades prior to Roe V. Wade — that, while it was little spoken of, the few existing female service members were often expected/“voluntold” to get an abortion if they became pregnant, and that it was not illegal on military bases. I don’t know if this is actually true. Either way, this suggestion that the military may be ordered to perform abortions in the context of a post Roe V Wade America is one hasn’t thought of, but sounds disturbingly likely with this administration.

Military hospitals go by local licensure.

Can we buy discounted ammo on base too?

Maybe the PX will have a special?
And take coupons?

Not sure it’s legal to bring non-military affiliated women onto military bases for personal services.

There are also intersections of military bases with state authorities that bring in state laws.

This idea of military bases follows on the heels of Warren suggesting about 2 weeks back that abortions be performed on federal property. Apparently that thinking followed a quest for what government health facilities could accommodate women seeking abortion services.

When SCOTUS declares abortion unconstitutional (which it is as it’s not in the Constitution), then this thinking of using federal property to conduct abortions will be unlawful.

If the story is true and Biden orders it, but abortion funding is outlawed by Congress, then I don’t believe Biden’s order would be valid.

Many years ago (2-3 decades), this trial balloon was floated about for the overseas military bases, because otherwise the seekers would “be forced” to take leave to the US.

Unfortunately for the ghouls, the idea was DOA because no overseas military doctors were willing to perform this “service”. Oh perhaps a few might have considered, but the culture of ethics within their own ranks would have kept them from volunteering.

Now at this time, anyone remaining in the mil took the jab, so what else will the compliant be willing to do... to others?

If the doctors decline to kill, will they receive letters of reprimand, effectively ending the careers of the best of who’s left?

It’s true, abortion was legal on military bases for wives, etc. before Roe.

The abortions on bases had no firm official policy and varied from service to service and base to base.

Ft. Lewis was doing abortions on dependents in 1972.

I read they were floating that idea, but I believe there is already legislation on the books specifying that apart from purely military matters, activities on base are governed by local law.

Sorry Charlie, Military bases are still governed by the constitution.

Even IF Biden, as Commander in Chief ORDERS that abortions can take place on military bases, his orders need not be followed. It would be an ILLEGAL (unlawful) order.

On bases where they choose to obey the ILLEGAL (unlawful) order, lawsuits would be filed and quickly find their way to SCOTUS where the Supremes would SLAP Joe Biden so hard he would $hit his depends.

It also seems to me that the military and other FEDERAL employees are DIRECTLY affected by this ruling.

Scotus has just said that abortions at the FEDERAL level are illegal. States can do as they wish, but the federal government is directly obliged to follow Federal law. The constitution (by the way of The Supreme Court Of The United States) is the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND.

Biden can’t order something that SCOTUS just said has no federal authority to require.

There are very few actual military hospitals left, most have been turned into clinics. Dependents and retires usually have to use civilian doctors through Tricare.

The Judiciary reigning in the scope of Executive Orders? Hopefully. Just maybe, the SC has had enough of being insulted by the likes of 0baᵐa and his minions.

But I can't help wondering if this is a trap. It gives the DiᵐckRats a perverse rationale to BL&M ahead of the elections.
