The only solution is to raise state tax on gasoline and diesel.

I see lots of ads in Cali for truck drivers to begin working for trucking companies.

Is there a reason why many of these drivers can't just go from being independent to salaried?

I am doubtful Red China will permit California politicians to do anything that will hinder the import of slave-made products into the American market.

There is too much money at risk to shut down the Red China pipeline. Red China may allow Gov. Gruesome to mess around a little but at some point they will say “Enough”.

Nothing like running a real-world test scenario to prove what will happen.

A week or two of many truckers staying home for some "time with their families" will test the system. Do truckers truck or do California Democrats suck?

Robinson should use one of those remaining trucks to haul FR’s servers out of California and into a more conservative-friendly state before CA turns into a never-ending scene from the movie Mad Max.

Things just keep getting worse.

(As intended... I wish we could blame this on mere stupidity and incompetence.)

This truly affects interstate commerce, without a doubt. It is not some contoured fake commie interpretation of the Commerce Clause as in Wickard v. Filburn (1942). This California law should be struck down pronto.

There’s an ad for owner operators on a bill board here in my adopted home town (Texas panhandle).

If a trucker ran one load for a second shipper, they're not just working for one shipper.

The other way around it is to have the shippers split into two independent companies and alternate which one hires out the loads.

This started because the taxi industry did not want competition by Uber and others. So they bribed the democrats.

The AB5 law restricts the use of independent contractors.

The dock workers union has been fighting them for a long time wonder who got the money?.
