Excerpt:
Ukrainian forces “have highly likely established a bridgehead south of the Ingulets River, which forms the northern boundary of Russian-occupied Kherson,” the U.K. MoD said in its latest intelligence assessment of the war. (Edit: this bridgehead SW of Davydiv Brid was established over a month ago.)

••Ukrainian Economy Defaults:
Specifically cascading defaults - follows long in-the-weeds discussion.

••Russian GDP Falls:
First of all Russian statistical bureau reported that Russian economy fell by 4.9 in June relative to June 2021 year on year and the cumulative decline since the beginning of the year for Russian economy is 4%

It’s for six months and does not really jive with the numbers, with the information we were presented before about car production which is essentially idled. Production of the home appliances basically 20-30% of its of of its prior numbers.

Everything is going in the wrong direction in huge numbers, so it’s unclear how the economy is just falling 5% in June. Nevertheless, that’s the formal numbers that were reported by Russian statistical bureau.

Other information on the on real economy in Russia: the supplies of the home appliances and consumer electronics fell to Russia significantly - in some categories it is up to 75%.

Retailers in Russia are starting to report shortages of some of the consumer electronics, specifically Samsung cell phones are starting to disappear in Russia. They expect year shortages of home appliances and consumer electronics in Russia sometime in the fall so things are definitely not going well there.

Also related to consumers is the shopping malls. Construction of shopping malls in Russia fell to the 2004 level and and it feel by 75% from from the peak in 2021. This really does not jive with the GDP number that’s being reported by the Russian statistical bureau.

••General Military Assessment
First of all, let’s go back to the HIMARS attacks

Most important: there was another attack. not against the bridges. but against the railroad station in Berevka.

We explained that there are two main railroads that feed the Kherson bridgehead: one goes straight to Russia near Melitopol’. Then it goes to Nova Kahovka running over the dam.

Then it splits there with the other one going through Kherson coming from Crimea. This time the attack was the against this line going from Crimea and Berevka, which is on the freshwater channel.

We don’t know exactly where the hit was: somewhere in Berevka, so we’re assuming that the hit was against the railroad bridge that crosses this freshwater channel in Berevka.

We know it was in Berevka because we can see that there is continued focus on destroying supplies of the reserves, the material and ammunition to Kherson bridgehead.

At the same time Russian troops are quickly building a pontoon bridge next to the Antonievsky Bridge in Kherson which was essentially it’s not operational anymore.

We cannot say it’s completely destroyed; it was severely damaged so they’re hoping to fix the supply and logistics in a short order. We’re pretty sure there will be new attacks against that bridge and it’s going to be destroyed.

As we discussed, this is going to be relatively drawn out war against Russian logistics, but eventually the writing is on the wall: this is going to be destroyed, the Russian troops will be depleted of the major resources to successfully continue fighting on the Kherson bridgehead.

At the same time there were successful attacks against Russian ammunition depots a little bit Southeast of the Donets.

There was a large hit in Iloveisk; there was huge explosion there. Russian troops are still continuing heavy artillery fire West of Donets. These attacks do not impede Russians artillery’s ability to continue what they’ve been doing.

That machine of Russian artillery does a heavy barrage, destroying everything, creating moon landscape, then the Russian troops mop up the resistance. That machine was not broken, as we suspected.

That was okay in the short-term glitches, but largely, it’s still functional and still works, so nothing has changed there.

We want to confirm that Russian troops have apparently started a large offensive West of Donets towards Avdiyivka. They are attacking as we mentioned yesterday: it seems pretty suicidal overall. Nevertheless, they do. Apparently there’s some kind of plan behind that attack.

The areas north of Donbas and the area West of Donets are two main areas where there’s still active fighting is going on.

The rest is essentially on pause from from all perspectives, with exception of the Kherson bridgehead, where apparently Ukrainian side is preparing to launch some kind of offensive down the road, even though it started, it didn’t work out again.

We’re pretty sure they will try later, once they feel that Russian troops are drained of resources enough to be unable to successfully defend Kherson bridgehead.

Road over the dam near Nova Kakhovka was severely damaged; its barely usable. The Russian troops repaired it using Ukrainian contractors; their repair was not properly done. It’s not repaired structurally; it’s like filling the the potholes on a road, low quality repairs, a band-aid.

———————————————————————————————————————
Summary:
Russian advances - fully captured village Pokrovske near Soledar, also gained ground near village Vershyna.
HIMARS systems attacked rail road station Brylivka - line that connects Kherson with Crimea.

Key areas:
- Kharkiv: no changes

- Izyum bridgehead: no changes

- North Donbas area:
Russian troops in middle portion captured village Pokrovske, and area south of village Vershyna

- Donetsk West: no changes
- Kherson bridgehead: no changes.

1. Kharkiv: No changes.

2. Izyum bridgehead. No changes.

3. North Donbass:
Russian troops captured village Pokrovske, and area south of village Vershyna.
••It’s very clear that Ukrainian command does not have strategic answer to the Russian way of attacking, and slowly but surely, conquering a little bit territory every week.

4. West of Donetsk: Avdiyivka and Maryinka. No changes.

5. Vugledar: No changes.

6. Velyka Novosilka - Gulyapole stretch of frontline. No changes.

7. Kherson bridgehead: No changes.

900 Russian tanks destroyed by Russian arrogance and incompetence.

Meanwhile the Polish people are sending approximately 300 updated T-72 and modern PT-91 tanks to Ukraine to help kill the scumbag Soviet invaders.

I wish the Ukies nothing but good hunting!
