I’m with you.
I have never had a police officer, county sheriff deputy, or state trooper give me a “driver test” in 58 years of driving all over the country often hitting 50k miles per year. I was crazy as a youth — never happened. I was near sighted without glasses for a while — never happened. I speed — never happened. I got pulled over for 92 MPH and got a warning ticket, but no driver test.
I believe the poster might be missing something in his driving.

Driving test is usually appearing to be committing a DWO (Driving While Old). That can include driving under the speed limit, pacing 18 wheelers while in the left lane and slowing down if they think someone is too close. An older couple in my neighborhood had to do several for these very reasons.
