general staff keeps a steady the supply chain full

The UAVs are not purchased by the general staff. They are purchased via fundraisers in the troops home towns and cities.

The US general staff provides a uniform, WWII helmet, an Enfield rifle or a Maxim machine gun, if any of that. All else is on the folks at home to provide.

The general staff is mostly a bureaucracy following the Soviet military model. Advances and victories in the field are mostly the result of initiative and ingenuity by the troops. The UA as a whole is incapable of any real offensive.

Does PIF really want all those unsolicited comments to boost your reply count for your daily propaganda post?

.....
True. A UAV is not like a tank.

But a UAV would clear out WWI style entrenched russian troops better than would a tank—and with much less risk to the operators.

Here’s a loaded question for you. Do you think that a successful war will entrench or dismantle all the worst aspects of Ukrainian government?

"Ask him."

No, I think it is best to go to the source of the bad behavior first.

The Ukraine government is a little Soviet Union ruling over a people that want to be independent, free and self governing. As it is most of the government takes orders from the FSB etc or are Russian sympathizers and have done more damage to Ukraine than the Russians.

That’s not what I meant.

Apologies for confusing you.

Your point was that the Uke army is incapable of going on the offensive. My point was that if the Uke army could obtains UAV’s/drones at scale. that is, if the Ukes could obtain a lot of personal UAV’s/drones —they could just wipe out the russians in the trenches in front of them.

The Ukes could get the personal UAV/drones at scale if governments ever got involved. Clearly many people have already figured out the cost effective benefits of the personal video game UAV/drones for combating trench warfare.

It doesn’t sound like a successfully prosecuted war will do much to improve the Uke government.

Sounds like there are an immense number of unpredictable good bad and ugly things coming next year.

Ukraine will never be the same after this war, from much to everything will be different, national identity, how they measure who is a good and faithful Ukrainian, what is truly important in life, who are their true friends in the world, and why.

After uniting in war and learning to see themselves as heroic and self-sacrificing people they will be less tolerant of corruption and crooked people of low character, Ukraine will probably align with the West and become a great and solid asset, hopefully along the lines of Poland.

There is no way that after the war Ukraine will simply return to its old self, the people will have different goals, different ideals, a different world view, a different life view, and different views of leadership, and there will be spasms of this or that, but Ukraine will be forever different after this is over.

The Ukraine government and the Ukraine High Command exist to collect money for themselves, for power, and for prestige. The people are all expendable.

The number of drones is solely dependent on fundraisers in a tanking economy where many have no jobs, no way to get to a job, and no fuel to run their car. Some no longer receive their pensions or any social assistance from the government and that goes in spades in Russian occupied areas.

The number of cheap (US$18K) drones will begin to decline as more and more people fall into poverty or are swept up by the Russians.

“The UA as a whole is incapable of any real offensive.”

The Russian forces therefor, must be made capable of real retreat, collapse or surrender - Or Just gradually killed off in place.

I am not in Ukraine and not a Ukrainian.

The people there can only afford so much - it would take a billionaire willing to sacrifice his fortune to properly kit out the UA troops. Cheap commercial drones would be on top of that.

The kit and drones must be given directly, as they are now, to the frontline troops. Nothing goes to the Ukraine government or the UA High Command/General Staff.

Turkish drones start at US$2 million.
