“Think they will ever give it back?”

Keep killing RuZZians every month, month after month, year after year until RuZZia leaves Ukrainian land. Just as the USSR eventually left Afghanistan.

It may take 5 years, 10 years, 100k of casualties, 500k, 1m. Just keep killing them.

“Without a credible air capability, Ukraine is incapable of launching any kind of ground offensive to oust Russians from Kherson or any other piece of territory controlled by Russia.”

They did do some of that around Kharkiv.

“Russia began using Iranian drones in its war against Ukraine. According to Western intelligence”

https://twitter.com/WarMonitor3/status/1563128210732171264
...........
imho this is the next stage of the war. Using the small personal drones at scale to spot and kill soldiers a couple miles away.

the two sides will basically play computer games for keeps a couple miles from each other until there’s nobody on one or the other side.

Ukes are playing but not yet at scale. Judging by the talk I’ve heard from PR’S sent out by Uke general staff—that’s in the works. So far, they have learned to talk the talk.

But I also get the impression that because the small personal drones are privately funded—the Uke generals don’t think there is as much prestige in them as the baraktars, himars and what not from other countries.

This has to be the slowest pontoon bridge building project ever. Maybe the RuZZians constructing it don't really want to finish it. They know what will happen to it.

"Russian pontoon bridge across the Dnipro River is 1/3 constructed already."

“bodies of Russians”

Or should we say, “partial bodies of RuZZians”.

“That’s a lot of Ukraine in Russian hands. Think they will ever give it back?”

Only if they can’t afford to keep it.

It will likely be a tough negotiation, while the Russian Military continues to bleed and the economy and Government finances implode.

The occupied territories currently cost money, rather than make money.

I think if the West holds firm through this Winter, the situation will become untenable for Russia.

Putin would really like to freeze the conflict where the lines are now with a negotiated ceasefire, like they did in 2014, but everybody knows that would only be a pause until he ready to advance again, so it is a much tougher sell this time around.

Artillery kill rate seems to remain consistent. Tank kill rate has dropped off significantly. I interpret this as most likely, running out of targets.

“The Kazan Suvorov Military School (KzSVU) (Russian: Казанское суворовское военное училище) is a Russian military academy based in Tatarstan. It serves as one of the country’s many Suvorov Military Schools funded by the Russian Armed Forces. It is currently decorated with the Order of the Red Banner.”

Without disputing your conclusion that Russian air is unchallenged by Ukie air and that Russians are combining Intel to designate targets and weaknesses, it cannot be denied that six months into its invasion the Russians have gained little. They have turned cities in Eastern Ukraiine into 21st century versions of Hamburg in 43, but they have not destroyed Ukie ability to resist and to inflict damage on Russian assets. Put in has called for an additional 137K troops. The present Russian military is, in many ways similar to current US forces. It is heavily tilted toward maritime, air, and strategic force structure. It’s ground forces, absent a swift stroke, are not geared for success against a well supplied, dug in, and determined opponent.. if this keeps up, they will of course win, but the words of Tacitus will be recalled.

“everything is about Russia and this war all the time. And, what they are doing is repeating Biden regime propaganda. It must not go unchallenged.”

No. Your focus is on Ukraine. Which of course is fine! However, with your only encounter with some Freepers on Russian-Ukraine issues, your assumption is opposing view Freepers only focus on “this war all the time.”

Easy to verify. Simply check out comments in their “Personal Freeper Forum” if you doubt me.

Although it is true that, I have been accused of merely the regurgitation MSM Biden regime propaganda. This is false.

True, recognizable MSM may be used as sources. Often, MSM may be used to post Ukraine information as easily discoverable data for others which is already translated and ready to share. Yet, there are actually innumerable reliable resources available with supportive having same factual data.

If you feel information “must not go unchallenged”, then by all means counter with your own factual data.

Free Republic is about the freedom to share in political discourse. However, please understand comments without the presentation of your factual data is not in actually having the oppositional comment/post go unchallenged.

This probably does not pertain to you. But, some would rather attack other Freepers on a personal level with untoward comments and call THAT their challenge of post/comment content.

Regards :)

Ukraine Situation Report: Gepard Anti-Aircraft Systems Now In The Fight
German Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft systems will provide additional defense to Ukrainian forces suffering from Russian aerial threats.

Excerpt:
A largely intact AGM-88 high-speed anti-radiation missile, or HARM, was captured by Russian forces in Ukraine. The radar-seeking missiles are designed to take out the tracking arrays governing Russian air defense systems. Identifiable pieces of HARM munitions have been found previously, but this is one of the most complete missile carcass yet seen in the conflict, to the point its year of manufacture - 1991 - can be read off the side.

••Energy:
Beer Drinkers Hardest Hit! Carlsberg producer of beer - they planning to stop production of beer in Poland because there are shortages of CO2 and CO2 is not produced because of extremely high prices for natural gas, so beer is not economical to produce.

A large European producer Norwegian producer of nitrogen fertilizer, Yara is reducing production of fertilizer by 35 percent and that’s and just for everyone to understand Norway produces a lot of natural gas and crude oil itself. It has uh large deposits so the fact that company that’s sits on deposit of natural gas is reducing it, does not bode well.

The company Rupa Azoty in Poland that essentially stopped production of nitrogen fertilizers in Poland; it is the second largest producer of nitrogen fertilizer in Europe. It is not just one product, its a family of related products. Because by the nature of the process, you’re not just extracting portion of the chemical chain - you can do many other products with other pieces of the chemical chain.

They also produce a polyamide which goes into nylon and all the synthetic fiber that’s used in the auto industry quite extensively. You may see some shortages of vehicles because there is not enough material to do the seats in vehicles. This is getting more and more pervasive and widespread and the price for natural gas hit US$3,300 per thousand cubic meters in Europe. The Asian price has jumped to US$2,600 per thousand cubic meters

With these price increases, the Earth’s population is in danger of a mass die off because there will not be enough foods due to lack of fertilizer. Fertilizer which is responsible for the population increases since the 1940s, 1950s.

Russia’s Gazprom produced 9% less NG than it did from 2020-2021.

Military situation:
Russia will increase its military forces from 1.9 million to 2.04 million, or an increase of 140,000. But those are paper numbers and their actual number of personnel is closer to 1 million and more likely 800,000. Much of that 800,000 is administrative personnel. The upshot is that the actual fighting force is closer to 500,000. Of the 500,000 troops, 200,000-3000,000 are conscripts who serve for 2 years and go home.

In the end, they wind up with fighting force of 250,000. With 50,000-80,000 rotating, you end up with ~100,000-170,000 troops in Ukraine. This is how they go from 2 million on paper to a force of ~100,000-170,000.

••Antonioski Bridge-Nova Kahovka:
Nova Kahovka bypass channel (lock) has ben severely damaged. While HIMARS have damaged these structures, they are not designed destroy modern concrete structures. Because these structures aren’t destroyed, the Russians are able to keep their troops supplied even to the point of continuing attacks.

Russian use their artillery to disassemble fortifications even if it takes days, they get there, while making extensive use of UAVs. UA counter-battery fire is terrible. This is not a problem of not having the right tools, but a problem of an inept UA Command that does not actually do anything, like the government, except milk everybody else for resources.

Because of the intensity and the wastefulness of resources, Ukraine probably cannot hold on for more than another year optimistically.

Zelenski and Yermak literally do nothing except PR actions, while getting a free ride on the Ukraine people’s right to defend their country and determine their own destiny. This is how it is, but Western media portrays the reality upside down. Zelenski and Yermak and their group are part of the problem not part of the solution.

Ukraine does not make any of its military needs and is dependent on others. Russia is self-sufficient, only hampered by its lack of a semi-conductor industry, with 90% of its needs having been imported.

Lets contrast that with Kazan. He lies and says he is an American. ‘We Americans this and that’. That is why I call him a Dirty RuZZian. Because of the lying.
