2019 RAND Paper Warned US of Failure During Ukraine Conflict
The New Atlas ^ | September 1, 2022 | Brian Berletic

As far back as 2019, US Army-commissioned studies examined different means to provoke and antagonize Russia who they acknowledged sought to avoid conflict.

However, they also warned that if Russia was pushed too far, it could trigger an escalation that would spiral out of Washington's control.

Today we are watching this conflict unfold. Just how accurate was the study's predictions?

Its not rocket surgery. About 10 million Ukrainians also understood this.

They knew they would be the eggs that NATO and their Azov pals would throw at the Russian wall. That’s why 3 million left Ukraine after the 2014 coup, and another 7 million fled in February 2022.

Yeah leftist propaganda posing as a “study”.

Too bad Putin didn’t have a Rand corporation to tell him the Ukrainians would pile dead Russian soldiers like cordwood and that his army would be depleted and disgraced.

Maybe his “think tank” believed the war would last 2 weeks.

Thank Heaven for the Ukrainians slaughtering that lunatics’ inept troops. Europe and the World owe Ukrainians an enormous debt.

Funny and did anyone warn the Russian troops they were going to their deaths?

Maybe you could sprinkle a little reality on your Russian propaganda.

It’s not about how big the conflict gets or even about how many die.

It’s how to enrich the global elites and empower the global government.

Dunno about the 3 million in 2014 (source?), but the 7 million in 2022 fled FROM the russians, not toward them. Does that number of poeple “voting with their feet” not give you any clue whatsoever about the true nature of the tender mercies of enslavement in the russian empire?

Here’s a prediction for you.

In 10 years, Ukraine won’t exist. And not because the Russians have any intent of going to Lviv.

Most from the war zone fled to Russia. The people who went to Europe are mostly forced out by the government to make pressure on the EU.

The Ukraine Foreign Minister said this in 2018. His estimates are higher than others I have heard.

Or, there is this - and this only concerns Ukrainians who left for Poland after 2014

Such a thoughtful response. Find anyone from Mariupol squatting in Germany. But there are plenty of folks from Lvov which is a thousand miles away from fighting.

You said: but the 7 million in 2022 fled FROM the russians, not toward them.

Really? How many fled to Russia or Belarus? Do you know?

I've treated you like a serious interlocutor, but it seems you just become nasty when someone challenges your flawed world-view.

Many people are simply dumb. The media appeals to their emotions and the logical thinking switches off.

Yeah my first question was did Rand group actually do this report.

Sounds like you confirmed that they did.

After successfully implementing a Color Revolution in Ukraine in 2014, the US Government tasked Rand Corporation with strategies to destabilize Russia.

In 2019 Rand Corporation wargamed different options for “destabilizing Russia”. They admitted Russia did not want to fight the US. Rand also detailed different options to bring Russia down using Ukraine. They knew the possible outcomes.
