If Ukraine is doing so well in its fighting, why is Zelensky begging for NATO membership immediately?
These continuing articles by Ukraine propagandists sound like the ravings of Baghdad Bob during the Iraqi war.

“Yet the war goes on”, yet Russia still is fighting as it retreats, 7 months in, and yet Russia is still resisting.
Seven months later and Ukrainians are still meeting resistance as they advance.
Back in February, this is not the Russian bragging that we thought we would be hearing in October.
The Russian Army has not been defeated, and is certainly not being forced to retreat. These are all long planned, strategic, withdrawals, and the Russians have removed their men and material without interference by the Ukes, who have simply (and foolishly) occupied areas voluntarily evacuated by the Russians.

After claiming back Lyman, Ukrainian troops can smell victory and are bursting to retake more territory.
Lyman is their biggest win on the battlefield in weeks, and the first since President Vladimir Putin declared this Russian territory.

“The mobilization shows that Russia has run out of a professional army,” Podolyak told Politico. “This army is being replaced by absolutely untrained people. A living resource has been thrown onto the front lines, and it will simply be exterminated.”
In Putin’s latest escalation in the war with Ukraine, the Russian president formally announced the annexation of four regions in eastern and southern Ukraine on Friday. However, Podolyak dismissed the move as unimportant.
“For our plans, [annexation] doesn’t matter,” he said.
Russian troops on Saturday withdrew from the city of Lyman in the Donetsk region — one of the four regions that Putin had laid claim to just the day before. Ukrainian officials had previously said they had surrounded the city.
Podolyak said in a separate interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that Ukraine will not participate in negotiations with Russia until its forces leave Ukrainian territory, including Crimea. Russia annexed that region in 2014.
“Russia does not want to negotiate – it only launches ultimatums,” Podolyak told La Repubblica. “If the Russian army leaves the entire territory of Ukraine, including Crimea, the negotiations could resume.”
Let's also point out that like the Wehrmacht in WWII - now the Ukrainians must now HOLD FAST in all this territory that they've recaptured. They don't have the option of any tactical OR strategic retreats...

It’s quite amazing the speed the Ukrainians are pushing the invaders back after taking Lyman. Apparently they rolled up yet another 35-40 km across a broad front within a few hours. The enemy isn’t even getting time to entrench new positions once they evac from the area.
