Give him the territories he took (who were mostly Russian sympathetic anyway) and call it a victory for him. Wait for him to die and then you can retake the lands.

there’s no attacks on Russia itself, just on the areas that it is currently illegally occupying in Ukraine
and Russia isn’t about to fall, it’s just being embarassed by a much smaller country
