3rd World coming soon to many places. Birmingham and Memphis are probably next. Then Atlanta. Many of these places are running on the fumes of the previous civilization. If you are still in the city, for God’s sake, get out.

Jefferson county Alabama (Birmingham) filed bankruptcy over a decade ago. I think the state finally bailed them out.
Of course, in that case it was New York bankers that got their hands in the taxpayers' pockets.
