From the picture you showed I doubt it. Compare his upper front teeth. They’re uneven. In the Capitol riots they’re even.
We can narrow the odds down a lot from what you have suggested. Presumably filtering for females would cut out about half. Same with age, race and so forth.
I am thinking the odds are not quite so bad as you would have us believe.
I agree. The teeth were the one question I had, but I couldn’t tell all that well. The lips — large bottom, thin top — and eyes were the closest. Usually the nose breaks it for me, but this time they’re close.
His lowers are a dead match.

After looking again, I think you're right. The one's on the right have a distinct angle upwards. And if you look at some of this guy's books, I have no doubt he'd be a willing accomplice.
There's probably a reason he has his hair covered, as that'd be a dead giveaway.

That’s a match, IMHO. The lower turned in 3rd incisor is matched.
So Now we ABSOLUTELY know that the events of Jan 6th were coordinated by FBI and Left wing Nuts. Ray Epps and this guy, as well as eye witness testimony of the buses arriving with Antifa from Baltimore.
All video should be released, and an independent sheriffs investigation team should be organized. Can’t trust the FBI or Capital police anymore.

Respectfully disagree. The Scaffold Commander’s front teeth (maybe dentures?) are too even. The other picture shows a guy with noticeably mismatched front teeth.
Apart from the question of whether they are the same person, with such a clear facial image it is remarkable that the FBI has been unable to identify him after all this time. Somehow, they found every other Tom, Dick, and Harry who was in or near the Capitol that day.

Look at the lowers again. And remember if the upper incisor is protruding it will look even with the other teeth when photoed from below, but more pronounced when photoed from above.
It’s not the same person. The journalist has a prominent chip on one of his front teeth that the “commander” doesn’t have, among other obvious differences.
You can get a chip in a tooth easily repaired. The dentist bonds a piece to exactly match the chip. Can be done in an hour.
White men 40-60 still number in the tens of millions. There are more of them in the US than the entire populations of some countries.
Somebody who has other ways of influencing public opinion, is unlikely to take the risks “scaffolding commander” took. When you make the transition from armchair journalist to street agitator too much can go wrong. It’s more likely it was someone with FBI connections, than some journalist.
Sure, could be, and having looked at the rest of the thread it does appear like the guy got it repaired in more recent photos.
But the real question is: why are we arguing about this like it’s still the year 2000? Surely someone on FR has access to facial recognition software that can compare the faces and give us a definitive answer...
