I'd like to see someone ask Trump why he didn't pardon them before leaving office...
They hadn’t been charged a federal crime yet before he left office.

He could have issued a blanket pardon for any and all crimes that might have occurred, but didn’t. There are no limits really on a presidents pardon powers.
