On Tuesday night, police responded to a call at Senator Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) home in response to a report of a stabbing or cutting incident.
According to KTRK, Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to a report of a 14-year-old with self-inflicted wounds. However, authorities were unable to confirm whether or not the teenager was a member of Cruz’s family.
Fox News Houston reporter, Matthew Seedorff, reported that HPD confirmed it was “not a family violence issue” and that “no criminal activity” was involved.
A spokesperson from Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s office released a statement, stating, “This is a family matter, and thankfully their daughter is okay. There were no serious injuries. The family requests that the media respect their daughter’s privacy at this time.”

Not every family was meant to be content living as a political family.
The higher name recognition is, the less privacy you have, especially nowadays with the internet only a finger tap away in most cases. I’m thinking the average teen girl would have a rougher time than most boys. Young girls have always been very hooked into peer pressure or influences.
This is the twit who bitched so much during the Texas freezeout that he left his post and took her to Cancun. And then she came out on instagram about how much she disagrees with her dad.
And now she’s a suicidal unstable type like her mom.
I almost feel bad for the guy.

My guess would be Adderall and/or Vyvanse, Prozac, Klonopin, and/or Xanax, or all of them. Sounds nuts but this is the MAJORITY of Gen-Z kids. And they smoke weed all the time as well. Far stronger shit than we ever had as kids.

This child has problems that were apparent during his 2016 campaign. I recall her wide-eyed blank stare and lack of facial expression, plus pushing her father away when he tried to give her a hug
This is horrible. Prayers for this young woman and the Cruz family. This does seem like something of a replay of the Claudia Conway situation... or Noelle Bush ... or even to go further back, Patti Reagan.
One might say that there’s a “troubled teen daughter of prominent conservative” syndrome. I have a few theories about why such a syndrome may exist...
1. The dominant popular culture, especially among teens, is liberal/left. And, as we know, liberal/left hegemony tolerates no dissenters. Teen girls are particularly dialed into and sensitive to this culture. To have a parent who’s prominently associated with conservatism isn’t going to win you any popularity contests. In fact, it will likely make you a pariah in some circles.
2. Many prominent conservatives such as Ted Cruz are also, sadly, credential whores to have attended America’s most elite schools and enroll their kids in the most elite private schools they can find. Such schools may be absolutely stellar academically, and may be a pipeline to admission to elite colleges. But culture in most such schools is woke “limousine liberal” where someone like Ted Cruz is more despised than he might be among kids at a middle-class public high school.
Can a prominent conservative raise proud conservative kids? It’s certainly possible. I remember an interview with Justice Scalia in which the interviewer asked if Scalia’s kids and grandkids were conservatives. Scalia said that he couldn’t speak for the views of all his grandkids, but his kids were all conservatives who agreed with him. What did a Scalia kid have that a Cruz or a Conway didn’t have? Perhaps stronger religious faith? Perhaps two parents who are on the same page politically? Perhaps more love and attention? I don’t know...
I just noticed at the beginning of the video she’s trying to flick him away.
Probably too much spoiling has gone on trying to appease her.
