Arguing who’s right and wrong about a dumb archaic colloquialism is kind of stupid, don’t you think? And a big waste of time. People have been saying it both ways for ages now. Your way makes zero sense to me, as in “Turning over a new leaf” means nothing and it doesn’t have anything to do with books either. The explanation you pointed me to is quite ridiculous. You do understand the English language right? I couldn’t care less what you think it is, or anything else you think for that matter at this point.

You should have left this one alone.
