The Gateway Pundit reported on Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov decision to boycott his team’s “Pride Night” on Tuesday night.
Provorov, a devout Russian Orthodox Christian, refused to wear his team’s gay pride jersey saying he made a choice to stay true to himself and his faith, “I respect everybody and I respect everybody’s choices. My choice is to stay true to myself and my religion.”

I would think any policy not covered under the NHL-NHLPA collective bargaining agreement would be a matter between the team and the player. The NHL doesn’t even need to get involved at all.

Did it sell out or did the NHL pull it off the market when they saw it gaining traction? Are the jerseys premade, or are they named and numbered on demand so that Provorov’s jersey couldn’t sell out unless they ran out of the letter V?
