There appears to be a trend going on at liberal video programming distributor DirecTV. The company dropped Newsmax from its channel lineup just months after it nixed One America News from the platform.
Newsmax reported Jan. 25 that DirecTV “cut” the outlet’s “signal, immediately shutting the network off from more than 13 million customers of the satellite service, DirecTV Stream, and U-Verse." Newsmax said it was “seeking a fee with a 75% discount to its market value, and compared to fees currently paid by DirecTV, almost all 50 channels below Newsmax in ratings get higher fees.” Newsmax Media CEO Christopher Ruddy didn’t mince words about the implications of what DirecTV did: “‘This is a blatant act of political discrimination and censorship against Newsmax.’”

Also ATT cable. My HOA got a deal with ATT, so that’s what we have. NewsMax went dark at midnight.
“our broad customer base”
They have been steadily declining for years.
May I ask how you get tv on line? Until a couple days ago I watched ustvgo which let you watch a lot of TV for free including the 5 broadcast networks, many cable channels including TV Land, Country Music Channel and even a couple of premium channels: Cinemax and Starz. Help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Rob Schmitt on Newsmax implied that the RATs in DC strong-armed AT&T / Uverse.
“Try Real America’s Voice.”
RAV is the ONLY thing we watch, except for local weather. We get it via Roku, but you can watch on a PC, cell, etc. It was just picked up by Distro, too, but I don’t know if Distro is free.
Buy a Roku for about $30, and that’s it. No monthly fee. RAV is one of the apps. Roku has some great apps.
DirecTV is bleeding subscribers, and with it revenue, and with that spending power. They lost Sunday Ticket. Cuts will continue.
Hkw many patriots will drop DirecTV? Virtually none since they value their sportsball so much.

On another thread about this today, many posters said they dropped DTV this very day.
No problem. I dropped direct tv a very long time ago.
I get NewsMax streaming.
If cable isn’t dead it is not far from it.
CANCEL DIRECT TV!!! THIS IS POLITICAL!!
Thus my use of the word ‘virtually’. Oh sure, a few will drop, maybe even 1% of them. But the vast majority will not since they need their drug of choice called sportsball.
I'm a first generation American, so I didn't grow up with spectator sports and I have no interest in any of it. I used to watch the Super Bowl for the commercials, but those have gone woke, so now it's a shopping day for me. As for DirecTV, they kept jacking up the rates every month, so I dumped them over seven years ago. I stopped watching TV altogether several years ago and don't miss it one bit.
Rob Schmitt is awesome. He is totally fearless.
I have US cellular and use a hotspot for the Roku (No monthly fee!) to watch NewsMax and First TV.
It costs me a total of $66 a month for unlimited phone and text, browsing and Tv!
Agreed!
I dropped DirecTV the minute they dropped One America News and heartily let them know why I was cancelling. I use Roku now.
List of AT&T Network Carriers
The following is a list of MVNOs that run on the AT&T network. You’ll also see whether they utilize multiple carriers’ towers to provide service, or if they’re strictly an AT&T MVNO
