To be fair, no one knew how much of a USELESS RINO Paul Ryan really was until he became speaker.
People forget that when Ryan chaired a healthcare reform round (square) table many had high hopes for him. But nothing ever emerged from that. I believe it was around that time that Ryan got bought off by corporations and the deep state. He never recovered, in fact he turned on a dime.

In case you hadn’t noticed, there was a time Ann Coulter was widely admired by conservatives. And I was one of many who was very happy when McConnell blocked Merrick Garland from the Supreme Court.
We judge people by what they are doing at the time, not by how they might end up behaving. Which explains my votes for Trump in 2016 and 2020. The Trump of 2016 and 2018 is gone...if he ever existed.
