To: the OlLine Rebel

There are many such establishments that went under due to the lockdowns. There was one tavern from my college days near the beach that survived great loss because of a hurricane, and yet it didn’t make it through CoVid. Yes, there are lots of challenges even before CoVid. It’s sad to lose these places that have been around for so long.

Yes, this place was on the National Road and established back in the 1760s or so. Apparently to be turned into park visitor center probably for the Appalachian Trail (literally it continues in its parking lot).
