No. 1, Stanford is no longer a prestigious institution. Secondly, that administrators and staff at Stanford need any remedial classes (read as 99 level classes) on free speech says everything one needs to oppose Stanford.

She probably spends the day venting on Facebook, sitting at her laptop- nude, sipping brandy and eating chocolate covered cherries from Belgium.

The law students who supressed free speech need to be identified and publicly outed. Future employers need to be aware of their activities.

It was something to behold when the administrator-scold was delivering her rant, and the visiting judge attempted to interject, the “students” in unison screeched, “Let her speak!”

Not a single one recognized the irony of that moment.

That they didn’t immediately fire this dean speaks volumes. Instead they put the wench on paid vacation, put out a mealy-mouthed letter, and none of the idiot woke students have faced repercussions. Lies and BS from Stanford.

Yeah, the “powers that be” have ordered the Dean to walk back her previous position and they are doing a major PR push to try get the donors and judges to return to supporting them. Stanford is concerned about a) donor’s money; and b) federal clerkship positions for their graduating students. That’s all!

The WSJ has a opinion piece this evening from DIE Dean Steinbach herself asking for everyone to just understand what she was trying to do in allowing the First Amendment to reign free at the Judge Duncan lecture. She was trying to balance the two positions and allow everyone to speak freely. From the comments there, no one is buying it.

She wants to negotiate away First Amendment rights by stating that both free speech rights and D.I.E. principles can compromise in order that no one’s feelings are hurt.

This is the best outcome you will most likely get from Stanford.

A great school with a great history of at least occasional institutionalized bigotry

All wrapped up in money and beauty
So it somehow stays hidden

We took Stanford off of our contribution and out of our estate plan
There are other far more worthy beneficiaries that don’t hurt innocent people by telling them they’re the wrong race or religion

It is absolutely pathetic that a law dean protecting free speech makes headline news. That should be Standard Operating Procedure for every dean from every university in the US.

Its about time!
Ex Intel CEO Andy Grove was a guest speaker at Stanford for decades teaching students about the value of hard work and creative thought.
He was also a anti communist.
I suspect today he would not be allowed to do this.

At the same time, I want to set expectations clearly going forward: our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is not going to take the form of having the school administration announce institutional positions on a wide range of current social and political issues, make frequent institutional statements about current news events, or exclude or condemn speakers who hold views on social and political issues with whom some or even many in our community disagree.
Rare moment of sanity MY ASS.

It's nothing more than damage control pursuant to their woke reinforced DIE goals.

The Red State author is an ignoramus.
