I thought Police Officers took an Oath to uphold the Constitution? Why on earth would any NON-CITIZEN have any loyalty to our US Constitution? I have lived in other countries, THEIR CULTURE will take over and training they might receive.

Great. Law enforcement with no ties to the community. Where have I read about this before?

Indeed.

Mission Statement

We, the law enforcement officers of the United States and of the several states and political subdivisions thereof, as representatives and delegates of state and subordinate lodges, do hereby associate the several lodges we represent and the members thereof for the following purposes:

To support and defend the Constitution of the United States; to inculcate loyalty and allegiance to the United States of America; to promote and foster the enforcement of law and order; to improve the individual and collective proficiency of our members in the performance of their duties; to encourage fraternal, educational, charitable and social activities among law enforcement officers; to advocate and strive for uniform application of the civil service merit system for appointment and promotion; to support the improvement of the standard of living and working conditions of the law enforcement profession through every legal and ethical means available; to create and maintain tradition of esprit de corps insuring fidelity to duty under all conditions and circumstances; to cultivate a spirit of fraternalism and mutual helpfulness among our members and the people we serve; to increase the efficiency of the law enforcement profession and thus more firmly to establish the confidence of the public in the service dedicated to the protection of life and property.Emphasis mine. Seems to be at odds with what they'll get hiring non-citizens.

Totally unsound. If you want problems. How ‘bout Mexican or Brazilian LEOs? Just look at the problems those ‘banana republics’ have. Nicuagua, El Salvadore?

I speak with 35 years experience of being a federal Leo on the Mexican, U.S. border. We’’’ need to defend ourselves from that kind of laws enforcement. As far as people from those background being LEOs if they are U.S. citizens and residents born and educated here that makes a difference. This idiot probably would hire illegal imigrants without even background checks, which would be skimpy if even possible. Cartel members?

I lived in Mexico 1 year as a Missionary. I lived in the Dominican Republic 1 Month. I had a Chinese Student live with me for 3 years while he went to High School.

I use to say to my Chinese Student, “ LEO, if this kind of situation happened in China, what would they do?” He almost always answered “KILL YOU, they don’t care.” MY POINT EXACTLY! Is any NON CITIZEN gonna have their Life Long Culture SQUEEZED out of them, NO. This is BIG TROUBLE!!
