“Some movements on the ground around Bakhmut. Russians have taken parts of the area around the city hall. In the northeast they moved south from the Azom plant. In the southwest Ukrainians have pushed Russian behind the Korsunskogo Street. Overall it appears that after several failed attempts Russians have given up to encircle the city and instead push through the city itself.”

“Denmark and Norway jointly donates 8000 155 shells to Ukraine. “Norway donates the shells, while Denmark donates the associated fuzes, propellant bags and primer cartridges.” The Norwegian part of the package comes from Armed Forces stocks.”

"BAKHMUT CITY /1150 UTC 3 APL/ Heavy urban fighting continues. UKR forces report that they repelled more than 20 RU attacks in the city during fighting on 2 APL. Lines of Communication & Supply (LOCS) remain stable, RU is assessed to be making incremental, but costly, gains."
One theory is to hold Bakhmut until the offensive begins and then let them have it.
