Was in a grocery store several years ago shopping. I had two $50 dollar bills. There was no sign that they would not take $50s. But that’s what the cashier said. I explained that’s all I had, and I left my card holder at home. No dice.
The cashier supervisor asked me to put the items back, and I laughed and said not until you post a sign saying you don’t accept $50 bills, and walked out.
They have cheap counterfeit currency pens to test them. They just couldn’t invest a couple bucks.
