This article from Fox News is called, Alvin Bragg promises not to prosecute theft to establish ‘racial equity’ balance: ‘Crime of poverty’.
I support the right of the 50 states and their respective cities to engage in different kinds of experiments, including ones that I think are ridiculous. I’m in favor of this particular one, because it’s what the voters wanted, and because I don’t live in this city.
I’m going to have a lot of fun watching all those YouTube videos of criminals in New York City who are smart enough to realize that they will never be prosecuted. How can I even blame them, when the person in charge of running the city is telling them that it’s OK for them to do what they are doing? The people of New York City are about to get exactly what they voted for, and I am going to have a lot of fun watching it happen.
I’m fine with it so long as the social experimenters pay for it themselves. I’m not fine with it when they want to pick my pocket to support it.

Maybe, but my experience is that cancer tends to spread into healthy tissue, and not vice versa.
That's the first logical error. They will never pay for it themselves. They will be bailed-out, subsidized, supported by NY State and then the Feds, in 1000 different grants, subsidies, and programs.
Allowing the little crimes without consequence leads to more and bigger crimes being committed.
I feel the same about the communist mayor of Chitcago. The sooner it all falls apart the sooner something better can be put in place.
Let's see how it works out for them when instead they don't go after the big crimes.

Generally, I prefer bus tours to go fabric shopping for quilts. But this sounds like fun, too. Who wants to PAY for fabric? It’s getting expensive.

We had the reverse happen recently in Georgia. Two guys from New York visited here and hit three Wal-marts in three counties in the space of a couple days. I doubt they will get the charges dropped or a slap on the wrist that they are used to receiving in New York.
YouTube won’t be showing those videos. That’s misinformation and election interference. The Federales are staffing social media. For our own good ya know.
