With Mika Brzezinski leading the charge, Morning Joe heaped praise on Kevin McCarthy today for his strong statement to a Russian reporter during his visit to Israel bashing Russia's invasion of Ukraine and in support of aid to Ukraine.
In part, McCarthy said "I do not support what your country has done to Ukraine. I do not support your killing of the children either. And I think for one standpoint, you should pull out."
Mika acknowledged that she has been a "frequent critic" of McCarthy, but called his statement "amazing," and even, without irony, clapped [see screencap] in a show of her approval. It was, she said, "his best moment as Speaker of the House."

I’m pretty sure that I’m in a minority of FReepers who support strong US support of Ukraine.
But have at it, folks!
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
meanwhile, US Fed.gov budget deficit next year according to Biden’s own budget, will be $1.8 Trillion - which means in fact it will be well above >$2.0 Trillion
Uniparty Wins.
This should convince everyone here that supporting Ukraine with American tax dollars is insane. We have no National interest in this conflict.

Having this creature speak your praise is like having Satan as a personal reference. It is a clear sign that you stepped in it.
This does put me in the odd and uncomfortable position of agreeing with Mika Brzezinski! :-)
Try 4-6 million.
Save it you dopey broad, you’ve already poisoned the well.
I love the Ukrainian people and the country of Ukraine. Its leaders, not so much.
This war is the result of the greedy leaders in the West (US/EU) and the greedy leaders in Russia both wanting control over corrupt Ukraine.
Neither side wanted a stable, capitalistic Ukraine with freedom and liberty for the citizenry.
When this is over, they are going to carve up Ukraine between them.
I’ll never again support any wars that we don’t intend to win as quickly as possible.
Vietnam 2.0 perhaps but looks like more of the same regime change stuff that worked in Libya and failed in Syria in 2011.
Russia stopped the US in Syria should explain to all why in 2014 the pro-Russian government was overthrown in Ukraine setting us on the course to where we are now.
The flow of money-weapons to Ukraine to lengthen the war wear down Russia collapse Putin then onto China and the fight for world economic domination a war to the last computer chip.
Fk Ukraine and Fk Russia. I don’t care about either. If Ukraine disappeared tomorrow I wouldn’t lose a second of sleep.
